Normally Elliot Daly takes a little bit longer over his kicks and gets more settled. He literally took his three steps and ran and struck it straight away. Potentially this game is really in their heads.

    Tom Fordyce
    BBC chief sports writer

Our chief sports writer Tom Fordyce has assessed Saracens' downfall:

"This is the most remarkable scandal the domestic game has ever seen.

"It is as momentous to rugby union as it would have been to football had the same happened to the Manchester United of Sir Alex Ferguson.

"This is not inadvertent financial mismanagement, which has taken down plenty of great sporting institutions in the helter-skelter dash for glory and its monetary rewards.

"It is deliberate and clandestine circumvention of the rules, over a significant period of time. It is cheating."
