  1. try

Try- Italy 0-10 Scotlandpublished at 46 mins

    Chris Harris

    Patience prevails.

The forwards batter away for what felt like an age. The ball was eventually moved wide and centre Harris crosses to score, as he did against the same opposition last year.

Hastings can't convert. He's left the kicking boots at home...

Italy make a couple of changes in the pack as Alessandro Zanni and Sebastian Negri are replaced by Dean Budd and Giovanni Licata.

  4. Scotland go closepublished at 42 mins

    Italy 0-5 Scotland

It's agonising for Scotland as Jamie Ritchie knocks on as he's tackled inches short of the try-line.

That came from another bust from Hamish Watson, who then offloaded to Magnus Bradbury. Great defence by Italy though as Tommaso Allan and Jake Polledri smash Ritchie as he caught the ball.

The second acceleration from Stuart Hogg was exceptional for his try. He identifies the space coming forward on to the ball but after that, the secondary acceleration, the speed he is going, leaves the full-back for dead. The defence would've thought he was going as fast as he can.

Let's have your thoughts on that first half, and what might be in store after the break. More tries? No?

It's scrappy, there's a lot of nervous players out there and not a lot of rugby being played. But Stuart Hogg is looking sharp. It's the Stuart Hogg of old. There's practically nothing in this.

Scrappy. Two nervous sides that are desperately looking for a win. If Scotland could have got a score towards the end of the half it would have made a massive difference.

They have kicked a lot but are trying to play their attacking rugby in the Italy half. They are looking threatening when they do attack.

Italy are playing too much rugby and are tiring themselves out.

Stuart Hogg's sensational solo try separate the sides. Other than that it's been one big scrap.

Ooft, Stuart Hogg's dummy sends him through a gap and he offloads to Ali Price, who knocks on in the tackle just metres short. Another chance gone.

It wasn't the easiest of attempts and Tommaso Allan's penalty strikes a post.

Scotland strip the ball on their own 5m line, clear but when Italy come again Stuart McInally is penalised for coming in at the side of the ruck.

The move before that had Matteo Bellini and Jayden Hayward in good space for Italy but they chose to come inside when the space was out wide.

Anyway, Tommaso Allan lines up the penalty...

Blair Kinghorn makes a good cover tackle on Mattea Bellini as the Italian winger looked to race down the outside.

Sebastian Negri gets his big hands on the ball to win a crucial penalty for the hosts. They can gain some much-needed field position now.

Hamish Watson is having another BIG game for Scotland. He wins the turnover at the ruck as the Italian forward at its base is pinged for not releasing.

The pass from Hamish Watson looked forward from up here...

That's a tough one. It's going to give Scotland confidence though, they opened up the defence and are offloading in the tackle.

It's ruled that Hamish Watson's offload to Sam Johnson was forward. It was pretty clear!

Nice move by Scotland though, Ali Price eventually crossing. Scrum Italy.

Has Ali Price scored here? It was a lovely move, but they're checking whether Hamish Watson's offload was forward...
