There will be a lot of aspects of that first half that Scotland will be quite happy with.

But there was a momentum shift half way through the first half for Wales, they got a sniff and one chance and took the try.

In such conditions minimising your mistakes is absolutely key.

I've got huge sympathy for them out there.

I think there will be some talking between the callers and the hookers at half-time.

  4. Half-time - Wales 7-6 Scotlandpublished at 15:02 Greenwich Mean Time 31 October 2020

It's not been a pretty first half of rugby, in which Scotland have dominated possession, but Wales take a slender lead into the break.

Rhys Carre's try is the only one of the opening 40 minutes, with the visitors kicking two penalties.

The wind is causing problems all over the pitch so far, hopefully both sides can find some rhythm in the second half.

You knew straight away that ball wasn't going to go anywhere.

It was the first opportunity the Welsh forwards have had to have a go at the Scottish forwards, especially that close to the try line.

As soon as Fraser Brown had overthrown it there was an inevitability.

It's just pick and goes with the forwards grinding. Scotland can't repel the waves of attack.

It's a double blow for Scotland as Finn Russell leaves the pitch limping. This could be a disastrous few minutes for the visitors.

It's not been the highest quality spectacle so far. You'd have been disappointed if you'd paid money for this, maybe it's best people have to watch or listen at home.

They looked like they opened us up on the inside and the outside.

Byron Hayward and the defensive team will be getting some messages on to Wales for their spacings and how they're actually coming up because Scotland did work a nice back play there.

It certainly would have been an opportunity for the first try of the game had it gone to hand.
