Delyth Mainwaring: Pivac is the best thing since sliced bread now!!!

Chance Hooper: We can blame the ref for two dodgy Welsh tries... but Ford, Farrell, Youngs and Daly did nothing but aimlessly kick. Our tactics are still one dimensional. Genge is a liability, Youngs can’t pass from a ruck and we need radical change now for the next RWC.

Former Wales international on BBC Radio Wales

You can't knock parts of the English play this afternoon, but Wales have improved every game.

They were saying 'we'd only won the first two games because the opposition had been down to 14 men', that wasn't in question today.

Wales really took advantage of every opportunity they had.

  5. 'Wales worked tirelessly'published at 18:48 Greenwich Mean Time 27 February 2021

    FT: Wales 40-24 England

    Rhys Patchell
Wales fly-half on BBC Radio 5 Live

The two tries that Wales scored in the second half were excellent.

When England attacked a bit wider they caused Wales so problems.

I'm delighted for the boys the way they've applied themselves today. They worked tirelessly all afternoon.

  6. 'Massive achievement' for Wales - Faletaupublished at 18:47 Greenwich Mean Time 27 February 2021

    FT: Wales 40-24 England

Man of the match Taulupe Faletau told BBC One: "We’ll take the win, it is a massive achievement for the group, we are really pleased with the result.

"We took our chances when they came about and we are pleased with that.

"The group were tighter than in the last Six Nations and that helps in the tough battles."

  7. 'Unacceptable penalty count'published at 18:47 Greenwich Mean Time 27 February 2021

    FT: Wales 40-24 England

    Matt Dawson
Former England scrum-half on BBC Radio 5 Live

When it came to the crunch, yet again, in the trophy-winning minutes... It doesn't take a rocket scientist to work out that you need to squeeze Wales.

What did England do? They gave penalties away. It starts to unravel. I know I sound like a broken record but in those pressure moments, where are those leaders?

Someone needs to get the team together and say: "No more penalties." It's unacceptable.

  8. Wales worthy of the winpublished at 18:46 Greenwich Mean Time 27 February 2021

    FT: Wales 40-24 England

    James Hook
Former Wales fly-half on BBC Radio Wales

What a win, what a win.

I know Wales had a bit of luck along the way, particularly in the first half, but you've got to say they were the better team.

I think it was an improved performance from England, especially in attack, but Wales took their opportunities, scored some lovely tries and deserved their victory.

  9. Delight for Hillpublished at 18:44 Greenwich Mean Time 27 February 2021

    FT: Wales 40-24 England

    Garin Jenkins
Former Wales international on BBC Radio Wales

That's great for Cory Hill, it's been a long road back for him.

Dogged by injuries since the last Wales v England victory here and it's so good to see him getting a try.

  10. Luck and indiscipline benefit Walespublished at 18:44 Greenwich Mean Time 27 February 2021

    FT: Wales 40-24 England

    Brian Moore
Former England hooker on BBC TV

They had a bit of luck with the referee early in, and England helped with their indiscipline.

Wales kept the pressure on, and in the last quarter with the introduction of the bench they simply pulled away.

  11. 'A fabulous win'published at 18:43 Greenwich Mean Time 27 February 2021

    FT: Wales 40-24 England

    Matt Dawson
Former England scrum-half on BBC Radio 5 Live

A fabulous win for Wales. Disappointing yet again for England.

They got themselves back at 24-24. That was their opportunity then the discipline poured out of England, chucking penalties away.

Wales were simply too good. There needs to be some kind of conversation at some stage about the two decisions in the first half.

Wales are good for this win but you can't tell me that giving 14 points to the opposition on their home turf is something that is easy to get back.

It has to be discussed. It's going to be called an excuse.

  16. Full-time - Wales 40-24 Englandpublished at 18:39 Greenwich Mean Time 27 February 2021

What a game! Wales win the Triple Crown!

It looked like going down to the wire for much of the second half - but Wales finished the game superbly.

After losing seven of their 10 matches in 2020, they are now remarkably eyeing up a Grand Slam.

Their remaining matches are both on the road, against Italy and then France.

As for England, that's two losses from three in this year's Six Nations. The defence of their title is in tatters.

Neil Jeffery: How much longer will the RFU stick with Eddie Jones? Five minutes is too long.

Matt Jackson: Sorry, but constantly conceding any initiative by giving away penalties goes beyond unprofessional, it's just thick. Straight up stupid.

Frank Maguire: Eddie Jones is not the coach to bring correct levels of discipline and attacking flair to take a group of great players and make them a world class team. If we want to win competitions we need to change him.

  18. try

Converted try - Wales 40-24 Englandpublished at 79 mins

    Cory Hill

That's game, set and match for Wales!

Wales secure possession from the scrum, and they get quick ball thereafter.

Second row replacement Cory Hill then charges in on an excellent angle and barges over under the posts.

Easy conversion for Callum Sheedy and the clock turns red.

One phase left in the game.

What an incredible passage of play. England are flinging it left and right and it was a brilliant read by Sheedy.

Half a chance for Jonny May on the left wing again but he's stopped by the ever-solid George North.

Callum Sheedy then intercepts an English pass and boots the ball into the England half.

Louis Rees-Zammit chases and kicks ahead right up to the English try line but the ball evades him at the last and Anthony Watson gets around to cover - but knocks on.

Scrum to Wales five metres from the England try line.
