    HT: Wales 17-14 England

    James Hook
Former Wales fly-half on BBC Radio Wales

What's going to worry Wales going into half-time is the last 10 minutes of that half and how England have come back into it.

They've attacked the gain line and when they get in the twenty two, they look very, very threatening.

  2. Player statspublished at 17:41 Greenwich Mean Time 27 February 2021

    HT: Wales 17-14 England

Billy Vunipola is living up to his pre-match promise of getting more involved. The England number eight has made seven carries and only full-back Elliot Daly, with more clear field to work in, has more than his 45 metres with ball in hand.

Scrum-half Kieran Hardy has been very busy around the fringes, racking up 50 metres with ball in hand, more than any of his Wales team-mates.

  3. 'Disgraceful officiating'published at 17:40 Greenwich Mean Time 27 February 2021

    HT: Wales 17-14 England

Former England and Lions wing Ugo Monye is not happy with Liam Williams' try.

William Heywood: England are 17-14 down at half time against one referee, two touch judges, a TMO and 15 player wearing red. Decent 40min effort against 19 players that.

Cedric David: I am still waiting for a red card from an English player to celebrate the 3rd welsh victory in a row.

Andrew Norreys: Substitute all the officials at half-time please.

  5. 'A brilliant half'published at 17:37 Greenwich Mean Time 27 February 2021

    HT: Wales 17-14 England

    Matt Dawson
Former England scrum-half on BBC Radio 5 Live

A brilliant half of rugby. Wales had the dominance early on.

With any other international side, the game would have been done after those two decisions from the referee.

The way England have responded stands them in good stead.

  6. Half-time - Wales 17-14 Englandpublished at 17:37 Greenwich Mean Time 27 February 2021

Plenty to discuss after that first half.

Wales scored two controversial tries, through Josh Adams and Liam Williams, before England came roaring back.

Three penalties from Owen Farrell and a try from Anthony Watson make it a three-point game at the break.

Who else is looking forward to the second half?

  7. Penalty - Wales 17-14 Englandpublished at 17:36 Greenwich Mean Time 27 February 2021

    Owen Farrell

England end the first half firmly on top and Owen Farrell makes it a three point game with the easiest of kicks.

  8. 'Where is the game going?'published at 17:33 Greenwich Mean Time 27 February 2021

    Wales 17-11 England

    Matt Dawson
Former England scrum-half on BBC Radio 5 Live

Where is the game going if the officials on the pitch can't see that knock-on?

You can't go to a TMO for that. We are at least 80 yards away and we see it.

  9. Watson takes some stoppingpublished at 17:31 Greenwich Mean Time 27 February 2021

    Wales 17-11 England

    James Hook
Former Wales fly-half on BBC Radio Wales

That was the danger we spoke about, their big artillery coming around the corner.

Wales dealt with it pretty well initially, they were coming off the line, they were smashing the English runners.

Then right at the end that pass to the wing, Anthony Watson in a one on one situation five metres out, takes some stopping in fairness.

  10. 'Really nice play'published at 17:30 Greenwich Mean Time 27 February 2021

    Wales 17-11 England

    Matt Dawson
Former England scrum-half on BBC Radio 5 Live

I like the way England bounced back from that. No heads down, no worrying.

Yes there was a bit of moaning to be had but that was a really nice play.

They made it look easy. I like those tries.

    Wales 17-11 England

Wales are under pressure now. England flanker Tom Curry charges down a kick by Liam Williams and Ben Youngs then chips into the Welsh 22.

Wales secure their own line-out and, after one phase to set themselves, scrum-half Kieran Hardy kicks clear.

  12. 'A great response'published at 17:29 Greenwich Mean Time 27 February 2021

    Wales 17-11 England

    Matt Dawson
Former England scrum-half on BBC Radio 5 Live

You could sense there was a steely anger about that England attack.

They know the world is against them. They've had a couple of shocking decisions and that is a great response.

Try - Wales 17-11 Englandpublished at 36 mins

    Anthony Watson

England are right back in the game!

Wales initially repel the English driving maul but the away side then recycle possession and, playing with advantage, shift the ball wide to the right wing.

Anthony Watson then cuts inside and, despite the close attention of several Welsh tacklers, he powers his way over for a fine try.

Owen Farrell pushes his conversion wide from the right.

Well, the gods are smiling on Wales in this Six Nations. Sendings-off, weird tries, fine-margin decisions going their way. Make the most of it while you can, I suppose.

    CH, Warwick

    Absolute joke of a referee.

    Rachel, Liverpool

Disgraceful refereeing. Pascal Gauzere has it in for the English.

England are awarded a penalty in kickable range for Owen Farrell but the captain opts to go for the corner.

He does so well, taking England into the Welsh 22.

You could hear the uncertainty in the TMO as he passed the buck to the referee.

    I don't think that was a try.

A red card for Ireland in their opening victory, another for Scotland in their second win... and now that try.

If only Wales had a bit of luck, they might get somehwere in this Six Nations.
