Sergeal Petersen is an exciting runner and he has shown glimpses so far.

But as the full-back scoops up the ball, his next act is to throw it into touch.

That is the difference between club level and the international stage.

    One off the training ground?

Luke Cowan-Dickie has started the second half where he left off in the first with an accurate line-out over the top.

Jack Conan is the recipient at the back, but the Lions knock on as they begin to attack.

The man to really impress so far is Luke Cowan-Dickie.

The hooker has carried well and been rewarded with his first try for the Lions.

    His aggression is paying dividends.

Will he be given the number two shirt next week?

That Marcus Smith conversion was the last act of the half.

Warren Gatland will be pleased with how his side have taken their chances, but there are definitely a few points still out there.

    Delicate.

Ali Price is injecting some real speed to this Lions attack and the ball is moved wide.

It's fed to Stuart Hogg, who has the ability to nudge it onto his Exeter team-mate Jonny Hill with the Stormers defence off the line quickly.

Hill becomes the second lock to cross for the Lions in the first half, and that is a nice way to end the opening 40.

Marcus Smith adds another two points from the tee.

    Hard lines.

Ali Price snipes through a gap and manages to get the ball away to Jack Conan.

But the number eight isn't able to offload in the same way and the ball hits the deck.

That would have been try number three as the red shirts were swarming forward in support.

Number two is dotted down for the Lions.

Luke Cowan-Dickie collects the ball from the back of the maul after throwing it in at the line-out.

The red shirts aren't really making any gains before the Exeter hooker peels off the side.

He's stopped just short of the line but he has enough momentum to reach over and ground the ball.

Marcus Smith adds the extras again.

    Crash. Bang. Wallop.

South African physicality is always guaranteed.

Stuart Hogg claims the high ball expertly, but he's body slammed to the ground as his feet return to earth.

    Welcome to Cape Town, Hoggy!

    Try time!

The Lions turn the ball over and they're off.

Josh Adams makes valuable yards and Adam Beard runs in unopposed.

Marcus Smith makes no mistake from the tee and the visitors are up and running.

The best and the worst of the Lions, in the space of 10 seconds!

Marcus Smith takes his eye off a high kick as he spills the ball backwards.

But Stuart Hogg claims the loose ball and sets off on one of those jinking runs, beating a few defenders, before throwing the ball into touch.

That just about sums up the start of the game for the men in red.

The Lions are over but the Stormers have the decision.

Luke Cowan-Dickie is penalised for a double movement as he attempts to ground the ball on the try line.

That looked like a tough call, but on we go...

Elliot Daly's left foot is certainly a weapon.

The versatile back, who is at 13 today, pumps the penalty into touch and the Lions have a platform from which to attack at last.

Tadhg Beirne scoops the loose ball in the ruck with those big mitts, and the Lions are off.

But the ball is lost a few phases later as Beirne is rewarded for his turnover with a thumping rib-tickler on the halfway line.

The Stormers have it back and kick deep into Lions' territory.

This time the ball comes out and is thrown wide to Stormers full-back Sergeal Petersen.

He opts to grubber the ball through but it comes off Marcus Smith's boot and out into touch.

    It's been a scrappy start.
