Brilliant finish from Hannah Smith. Lovely footwork and a good fend-off from one of Scotland's best players. She really deserves that try.

  2. try

Converted try - England 40-10 Scotlandpublished at 55 mins

    Hannah Smith (con Nelson)

    Fully deserved.

Scotland's scrum-half Mairi McDonald taps and goes as quick as the ref will let her and feeds Hannah Smith, who hints at a pass to her wing, tempting Jess Breach to bite in, before fending off Lagi Tuima to slide over.

    Helen Nelson slots the conversion.

    England 40-3 Scotland

Scotland prop Christine Belisle wades through a couple of tacklers and is up to within five metres.

    Huge pressure from the visitors.

England's Poppy Cleall dons her superhero cape and tries to pilfer the turnover. But she is off her feet.

    Penalty.

    And yellow for Cleall.

  5. Postpublished at 48 mins

    England 40-3 Scotland

Scotland showing some wit and devil in attack as centre Hannah Smith breaks blind and attempts to link with replacement Lisa Musgrove.

Jess Breach's presence tangles their wires though.

Still Scotland with the pill and the field position.

  6. 'Brilliant acceleration'published at 16:04 British Summer Time 3 April 2021

    Natasha Hunt
World Cup-winning England scrum-half on BBC iPlayer

Lovely work from England. Jess Breach stays on her feet and the acceleration and footwork of Helena Rowland is just brilliant.

  7. try

Converted try - England 40-3 Scotlandpublished at 43 mins

    Helena Rowland (con Scarratt)

A first England try for Helena Rowland...

And it was served up on a silver platter with Zoe Aldcroft feeding Jess Breach for a searing break outside Chloe Rollie and Rowland picking her way through some paper-thin tackling.

Emily Scarratt has been bang on form off the tee. Another two.

  8. Kick-offpublished at 41 mins

    England 33-3 Scotland

Scotland, still down to 14 after a late yellow card for centre Lisa Thomson in the first half, get us back up and running.

  9. Postpublished at 15:52 British Summer Time 3 April 2021

    Natasha Hunt
World Cup-winning England scrum-half on BBC iPlayer

Scotland are trying to play too much rugby in their own half instead of sending it long, chasing hard and seeing what England can do with it.

  10. Half-timepublished at 15:52 British Summer Time 3 April 2021

    England 33-3 Scotland

    And that is oranges.

England really came on strong in that first half, burying Scotland under a landslide of tries in the second quarter of the match.

  11. 'Breach a Six Nations superhero'published at 15:48 British Summer Time 3 April 2021

    Natasha Hunt
World Cup-winning England scrum-half on BBC iPlayer

Jess Breach has done so well with the ball in hand. We talked about her as a superhero earlier in the week and she backed herself, swerved inside, ball transfer to the other hand and a brilliant finish.

She trains with Chloe Rollie week in, week out at her club so she knows how to take her on.

  12. try

Converted try - England 33-3 Scotlandpublished at 38 mins

    Jess Breach (con Scarratt)

    Wheels!

England wing Jess Breach opens up the throttle and leaves the Scotland defence choking on fumes.

An electric finish from the Harlequins speed queen.

  13. 'Really popular try'published at 15:45 British Summer Time 3 April 2021

    Natasha Hunt
World Cup-winning England scrum-half on BBC iPlayer

That Bryony Cleall try will be really popular for any England fan. The amount of graft that's gone on to get her back on the pitch has been immense. It's fabulous to see.

  14. try

Converted try - England 26-3 Scotlandpublished at 35 mins

    Bryony Cleall (Scarratt)

That is a lovely score and a lovely chapter to Bryony Cleall's story.

England win some turnover ball in midfield and flip wide to attack a scattered Scotland.

Emily Scarratt with a lovely switch inside to Sarah McKenna, a supreme supporting line by Lagi Tuima and in the ensuing chaos Bryony Cleall, in her second England match two years after her debut, goes over.

    Two more from Scarratt...

  15. Postpublished at 33 mins

    England 19-3 Scotland

Scotland stretch England in defence, Helena Rowland's siege-gun boot eases some of the pressure though.

Rowland has made a steady start as she auditions to be a permanent replacement for Katy Daley-MClean at 10.

The Women's Six Nations has fantasy rugby for the first time this year. If you've not picked Poppy Cleall in your team, what were you thinking?

  17. Postpublished at 30 mins

    England 19-3 Scotland

    Oooofff!

That is a tackle to shake loose fillings. Poppy Cleall lines up Scotland wing Rachel Shankland with the protractor, ruler and set square and then thumps her with the kitchen sink.

    Big hit.

  18. 'England maul so hard to stop'published at 15:35 British Summer Time 3 April 2021

    Natasha Hunt
World Cup-winning England scrum-half on BBC iPlayer

Brilliant line-out catch and everyone was in position for the drive. Scotland worked really hard to get a hand on the ball but England had good control and it was a fantastic finish. A maul going forward like that is so hard to stop.

  19. try

Converted try - England 19-3 Scotlandpublished at 26 mins

    Lark Davies (con Scarratt)

A Sherman tank of a maul and hooker Lark Davies is in the rear gunner seat, guiding it over the line for a training ground score.

Emily Scarratt adds the extras and England tighten their grip around this match.

  20. Postpublished at 15:29 British Summer Time 3 April 2021

    England 12-3 Scotland

    Becky Grey

The last two times Scotland have played away against England they have been kept scoreless. Progress.
