You can't drop a knee on a player like that. I don't know how she is so aggrieved by that decision. I think she is very lucky to get away with a yellow.

Poppy Cleall was on the ground, holding the leg of France flanker Julie Annery. Annery slipped and put her knee into the face of Cleall on the way down. Did she slip? Or was it deliberate?

And how much of it was Cleall's fault?

The referee decides it is a yellow card for Annery. She feels hard done by and I can understand why.

Abby Dow has kept England in the match with a fantastic first half.

England need to play a little higher tempo in the second because it looks like France are tiring and gaps will start to appear.

Sarah McKenna's kick-off is too strong, drifting over the tryline. France dot down.

It'll be their scrum on halfway.

Zoe Harrison is out of the sin bin and back on the pitch. England up to 15 again.

England are going to restart a player down with Zoe Harrison serving out her sin-bin sentence still.

What a first-half performance from England wing Abby Dow.

Her first try zipping down the outside to finish was pretty special.

Her second was sublime. Pace, strength and sheer bloody-mindedness taking her from halfway to the opposition tryline after an over-cooked box kick.

Shades of George North for the Lions in Australia in 2013. But better.

That is your lot in an enthralling first half.

Abby Dow is unbelievable at running in open field. Look at the ball transfer as she's swerving out, the footwork to come back in, and the fend-off to beat the final tackles.

That is how you finish a try!

Really good play from France. I love watching teams that want to keep the tempo high.

They knew they had the advantage in the scrum, a brilliant pick and run and Tremouliere gets it down in the end despite Sarah Hunter trying to hold her up.

You can see what it means to the French - their players jumping in the air with joy.

Zoe Harrison gets in the passing channel, blocking Pauline Bourdon's attempt to exploit the overlap.

France fly-half Morgane Peyronnet with a searing break! Up to within five!

France are claiming all the territor. The game is being played deep in the England half. Can France make this pressure count though?

They can't quite though as Emilie Boulard's fly-hack just beats her over the deadball line. It was a good option from the wing though.
