  2. Full-time - Racing 92 56-3 Edinburghpublished at 14:26 British Summer Time 4 April 2021

A sorry way to end the traditional club season for Edinburgh. There's always the Rainbow Cup, though...

As for Racing, they look once again like they could go all the way. Will this FINALLY be their year?

It's tough, it looks as if the Edinburgh players need a break and a rest.

    Francois Trinh-Duc

File this one under 'Tough day at the office' for Edinburgh.

Substitute Trinh-Duc finishes in the corner after yet more brilliant attack by Racing. This final quarter has been brutal from last year's runners up.

    The conversion lands.

  5. try

    Try - Racing 92 49-3 Edinburghpublished at 76 mins

    Teddy Thomas

    And another...

Racing's ferocious intensity has finally finished Edinburgh. I can officially announce that the floodgates are open.

It's just a first phase play off a scrum. Louis Dupichot almost finishes, but a good tackle from Charlie Shiel stops him, but he offloads to Thomas for his second score.

    The touchline conversion drifts wide.

It's the consequence of having no possession and being exhausted. You're essentially a red rag to a bull with a team like Racing.

What we are saying can't happen is happening. Unlucky and a frustrating one for Edinburgh

  8. try

    Teddy Thomas

Getting a tad embarrassing now for Edinburgh...

Mark Bennett kicks the ball out of a ruck when trying to clear out a Racing player, and Thomas simply picks up and canters in from distance.

Basic stuff. Teddy Iribaren converts from in front of the posts.

  9. try

    Try - Racing 92 37-3 Edinburghpublished at 68 mins

    Guram Gogichashvili

Absolutely sensational rugby from Racing. They just keep the ball alive the whole time, coming from just inside their own half.

It's quick ball, then offload, then quick ball, and eventually Gogichashvili batters his way over from close range.

Over goes the conversion and it's a rout.

In every instance that Edinburgh has defended with a pick and go, they have given away penalties. They have to learn that the work they are putting in is a waste of time.

    Jordan Jospeh

We resume, and it's just pure power from Racing to drive over.

Jordan Joseph the scorer. Game over, if it wasn't already.

    Teddy Iribaren converts.

    Racing 92 23-3 Edinburgh

It's a clash of heads that has caused Dominic Bird some serious pain here. It's not a high tackle, just an accidental clash.

You see it from that angle, it's a direct contact to the head, that's a red card but they arent looking at it.

  14. Postpublished at 62 mins

    Racing 92 23-3 Edinburgh

It looks like a bad injury here for Dominic Bird, who's not long on for Racing. Henry Chavancy went off on a stretcher error, so it's been a tough afternoon for Racing despite their looming victory.

    Hopefully both are ok.

Clear try saver from Darcy Graham, he flew across and made the tackle after some really good attack from Racing

    Racing 92 23-3 Edinburgh

A terrific last-ditch tackle from Darcy Graham prevents Teddy Thomas from scoring in the corner.

A few good hits keeps Racing at bay for a few phases, but then comes the penalty.

    It's relentless...

It's just error after error from Edinburgh. This time, as they try to attack from deep, Duhan van der Merwe spills the ball. It came just after Darcy Graham had kicked out on the full.

Racing scrum just inside Edinburgh's half.

Edinburgh have to chance their luck, their is no point in just doing the same at twenty points to three. You run the risk but it's cup rugby, go for it.

  19. Penalty - Racing 92 23-3 Edinburghpublished at 57 mins

    Antoine Gibert

A penalty from a driving maul, and Gibert nudges Racing closer to the quarter-finals once again.
