Whoever wins will hope Grand Slam chasers France lose to England on the final weekend.

Ireland need to take a deep breath and come back out and try to impose their game again as they did at the start of the first half.

The whole England bench went on to the field to join England's huddle. They need to rally them. All that experience on the bench, somehow they have to infuse that into their team-mates so they can last another 40 minutes.

Ireland captain Johnny Sexton was in animated discussion with referee Mathieu Raynal as the two teams headed down the tunnel. Ireland feel that they have not got the rub on any decisions since the second-minute sending off of Charlie Ewels. Ireland have conceded nine penalties to England's four so far.

What an excellent game so far.

Here's hoping for more of the same in the next 40.

England went down to 14 men after just 82 seconds but have not only managed to hang in there, they've tested Ireland's defence plenty.

The visitors are on top though after some sharp attack.

Ooft. It bounces off the right post but lands on the right side.

Six points in it at the break.

Could be time for one more score as England win a penalty right in front of the posts.

Can you remember the last rugby game where there hasn't been a single lull for the entire half?

Remarkable stuff and despite the numerical disparity we have a thoroughly competitive game on our hands.

    Bring on the second half.

England are back once again. Up to Ireland's 22 as Kyle Sinckler goes off for a head injury assessment.

Ireland needed that. If they hadn't come away with something it would have really impacted them at half-time.

England have dominated the second part of this first half and that will hurt them.

Try - England 6-15 Irelandpublished at 37 mins

    Hugo Keenan (Con Sexton)

A big blow before the break.

Ireland win a penalty and Jamison Gibson-Park takes it quickly. England are all over the place, with Kyle Sinckler on the floor momentarily, and the visitors waste no time as Hugo Keenan dashes over.

Another two points from Johnny Sexton makes it a slightly more comfortable nine-point cushion.

Eddie Jones was down on the touchline while Smith was kicking that, deep in conversation with replacement prop Joe Marler and lock Joe Launchbury.

Could we see some changes at half-time for England?

More great work from Maro Itoje halts another Ireland attack and the visitors will have a line-out just inside England's half.

    That one's over.

England have been down to 14 men since the second minute but somehow they are just two points behind. Impressive stuff.
