    Wales 7-12 Italy

Wales' ball is slow again and the attack has no real direction, not helped by an injury to Dan Biggar.

He's out of the game as Wales go through the phases, with Alun Wyn Jones carrying twice in quick succession.

Play is stopped so Biggar can get treatment. Wales will have a scrum on the Italian 22.

Great play by the Italians turnover ball spreading it left to the danger man Ioane and it's a brilliant kick chase.

Ioane backed his pace but what a try saving tackle from Adams.

Gareth Davies rises well to gather an Italian clearance and, although Wales lose possession, Italy are offside.

Dan Biggar kicks to touch and Wales have a line-out in the Italian 22.

    Huge tackle from Josh Adams!

A lovely offload from Alun Wyn Jones almost sets Owen Watkin free but the supporting runners knock on.

Italy then counter-attack through the excellent Monty Ioane, who chips ahead and gathers, speeds clear and is tackled into touch superbly by the covering Adams.

    A try-saver.

Italy are nice and direct there but for Navidi as an openside that is bread and butter, he'll do that all day.

That's the danger when you make a break you get isolated and Navidi got him there.

Willis Halaholo crashes forward in midfield as Wales look to attack with a bit more tempo.

Italy are managing to slow the ball down, though, and Wales are struggling to get past halfway so Dan Biggar kicks high and into Italy's 22.

Garbisi's next contribution is to kick out on the full, giving Wales a line-out on the halfway line.

Just as Louis Rees-Zammit looks to inject a little pace into the Welsh attack, he's powerfully tackled by Juan Ignacio Brex and from the next phase Wales are turned over.

Josh Navidi bails them out by forcing a turnover penalty, which Dan Biggar kicks to touch in the Italian half.

I'm not seeing much energy in Wales' performance.

Sometimes you need something like a try to inspire you...

We've had one try but, should have scored a couple more.

    • The solitary Six Nations draw between these nations did come in Cardiff in 2006
    • Italy have only won 12 Six Nations matches since they joined the tournament in 2000
    • They are currently on a record 36-match losing run in the championship. Italy's last win away from home in the Six Nations came in Scotland in 2015.

When Wales get into the 22 that's been the biggest problem, the game management to that point is great, but that finishing touch in the 22 is lacking.

One misread from Italy has caused the try.

Ireland and France run the aggressive short runner - you force the defenders to make decisions and if they get it wrong it's a line break.

    I'd have kicked the points.

I know they were brave but they should have kicked at the end.

15-7 would have been a significant lead at half-time.

Italy are completely controlling the game.

They're a really good team, and they're proving that today.

The way Wales are playing, they had a big emotional game last Friday.

It's a different mindset and they're not quite there.

They need to come out and be that much more urgent, it's only five or 10 percent difference.

Italy have fixed their kick chase game and that's why they're in the game.

Ioane is one of the best kick chasers we've seen that in the Six Nations.

It's a definite tactic to kick rather than playing to Wales' blitz defence.

Apart from one mistake which led to the try, Italy are playing the right areas putting pressure on Wales and it will be mentally harder for Wales now.
