    Stacey Fluhler

    WOW!

New Zealand score inside 30 seconds of the restart. The gameplan was obviously, 'just get the ball and score girls.'

Centre Stacey Fluhler sells an outrageous dummy wide on the left, Emily Scarratt is sucked in, Fluhler and Renee Holmes swap passes and Fluhler runs it in.

Holmes can't find the conversion though.

It has been phenomenal and everything that we thought it might be.

England are so heavily reliant on this line-out drive and why not? New Zealand have no answer.

We did this back in 2014, we trained with 14 players as these things happen - a red card can happen.

England will be prepared for this.

Trevor Durham: Really open and exciting first half in the Rugby World Cup final. Harsh red card for England may tell in the end, but so far so good. Come on, Red Roses!!

Sarah Cox: It’s no good, I’ve been keeping an eye on live text under the duvet but it’s too exciting so I’m out of bed now with the telly on!!

England have to stay calm here and not let this get into their heads.

They must regroup at half-time and then talk tactics. I wouldn't be surprised if there are some swaps in there.

    Amy Rule

The respite was brief though - New Zealand this time bring the maul from a line-out, prop Amy Rule spies a gap and flies over.

Renee Holmes has a tricky angle for her conversion and can't squeeze it in.

What a 33 minutes we have had, the next bit now is really crucial for England.

We need England to score next and keep playing this territory based game as New Zealand are not dealing with England's kicking game at all.

England have been all about forward power so far but then fly-half Zoe Harrison lands a kick to within an inch of the corner to show a touch of class so subtle you have to applaud. England in great position once more.

Another fumbled kick-off. Get the basics right, he says. A reminder that these women are putting on an absolute classic in front of the biggest crowd to ever watch a women's match.

    What a first half.

    Amy Cokayne (con Scarratt)

England's maul does it again! New Zealand can't deal with it, the crowd don't like it, but England hooker Amy Cokayne touches down for her second try of the night.

Emily Scarratt curls in a lovely conversion.

You can tell how loud it is as none of the England players could hear the whistle.

    New Zealand fans aren't happy.

    New Zealand 14-19 England

England's power from the forwards is just phenomenal. A poor kick from New Zealand leads to a drive of at least 15 metres and England get a penalty advantage.

Renee Holmes intercepts a loose pass and runs it all the way back, she can't hear the whistle and has a fruitless sprint over the line. It comes back for the England penalty and a very tired NZ full-back...
