That's all for today, and that's the end of Wales' very long season.

Wayne Pivac's aim for the summer was to expand Wales' strength in depth, and he's done that by handing debuts to six players and experimenting with his selection in the absence of 27 players due to injuries and British and Irish Lions call-ups.

He'll be disappointed by today's error-strewn performance, though. An impresside Argentina side did not need any help this afternoon.

And that's not the end of this summer's rugby.

The British and Irish Lions continue their tour of South Africa with a game against the Stormers, which you can follow here.

  3. Pivac rues Wales' errorspublished at 17:10 British Summer Time 17 July 2021

    FT: Wales 11-33 Argentina

Wales head coach Wayne Pivac tells S4C's Clwb Rygbi: "We're disappointed with the result. We didn't play as well as we would have liked to.

"The errors we made were far too many for this level of rugby.

"We've learnt a lot, not just in matches but in training too. The players will get a lot of work-ons to take away.

"It was a worthwhile exercise. It's been a long season."

  4. 'Very disappointing' - Wales captain Daviespublished at 17:02 British Summer Time 17 July 2021

    FT: Wales 11-33 Argentina

Wales captain Jonathan Davies tells S4C's Clwb Rygbi: "It's very disappointing. The way we trained this week, we'd hoped for a much better performance.

"Our discipline was poor and we put too much pressure on ourselves.

"They [Argentina] are a very good side who have had a lot of good results over the past year."

"Wales want to play a wide game.

"If you want to do that, you need to be accurate. If you’re not, you’re going to lose.

"Wales will watch that game back and they’ll be disappointed with the standard of their passing."

I think that's been the difference with the Argentinian pack today. They've been taking the ball flat, at pace and have been breaking tackles.

  7. Full-time - Wales 11-33 Argentinapublished at 16:50 British Summer Time 17 July 2021

    A comprehensive win for Argentina.

That was a Pumas team which included nine of the players who started in their win over New Zealand last year - and it showed.

They thoroughly outplayed Wales' experimental and young side, who also undermined their own efforts with a littany of errors.

A chastening afternoon for Wayne Pivac's side.

  8. try

Converted try - Wales 11-33 Argentinapublished at 79 mins

    Pablo Matera

There was an air of inevitability about this score.

From a lineout inside Wales' 22, Argentina's driving maul sets the platform.

The forwards then take it in turns to pick and go towards the Welsh try line.

Flanker Pablo Matera, who scored in last Saturday's draw, then scythes through the Welsh defensive line from close range to dive over.

    Nicolas Sanchez converts.

  9. Man of the Match - Rodrigo Brunipublished at 78 mins

    Wales 11-26 Argentina

Argentina number eight Rodrigo Bruni is deservedly named the official man of the match.

    He's been immense.

  10. Penalty Wales - 11-26 Argentinapublished at 76 mins

    Nicolas Sanchez

Wales error, Argentina scrum, Argentina penalty, Nicolas Sanches kick at goal.

There's been a fairly repetitive pattern to much of this game.

Sanchez's latest penalty takes the Pumas more than two converted tries beyond Wales.

    James Hook
Former Wales fly-half on BBC Radio Wales

Even though he's missed that kick, it's a tough old ask this for Wales.

  12. Postpublished at 74 mins

    Wales 11-23 Argentina

Kieran Hardy is the latest Wales player to knock on, failing to gather a clearing kick from Argentina.

This has been a trying afternoon for Wales.

  13. Missed penaltypublished at 73 mins

    Wales 11-23 Argentina

Distance is no problem at all for Nicolas Sanchez, whose penalty looks to be sailing over - but it hits the post.

Argentina's chasers are offside and Wales have a penalty to clear.

  14. Postpublished at 72 mins

    Wales 11-23 Argentina

Argentina's pack earn another penalty from a scrum.

It's inside the Pumas half but Nicolas Sanchez is going to have a shot at goal.

  15. Postpublished at 70 mins

    Wales 11-23 Argentina

Callum Sheedy tries an audacious dink over the onrushing Argentina defence.

It doesn't quite go Wales' way but they get the second bounce of the ball.

The attack never really gets going and it ends with another handling error.

Hallam Amos is back on from his 10 minutes in the sin-bin.

  16. Postpublished at 68 mins

    Wales 11-23 Argentina

The handling errors are infectious, with Argentina knocking on now.

Scrum for Wales just inside their own half and they look to play with a bit of width.

They go left first and then back towards the middle where - and this will not come as a surprise - they drop the ball again.

It's been one of those days for Wayne Pivac's side.

  17. Postpublished at 66 mins

    Wales 11-23 Argentina

    Gareth Delve
Former Wales international on BBC Radio Wales

I think what we're seeing at the moment is both teams starting to lose their grip on the game. There's mistakes everywhere.

  18. Penalty - Wales 11-23 Argentinapublished at 65 mins

    Nicolas Sanchez

Nicolas Sanchez punishes Wales' latest misstep, his penalty extending Argentina's lead to 12 points.

  19. Postpublished at 64 mins

    Wales 11-20 Argentina

Wales are offside near halfway and Argentina will have a penalty.

There's an earlier offence too, so the Pumas will actually have a penalty inside the Welsh half after a late tackle from Taine Basham on full-back Santiago Carreras.

This is now kickable for Nicolas Sanchez.

  20. Replacementpublished at 62 mins

    Wales 11-20 Argentina

Changes at half-back for Wales, with Kieran Hardy and Callum Sheedy replacing Tomos Williams and Jarrod Evans.

Flanker Taine Basham is also on for James Botham.
