Jack van Poortvliet's box kick is charged down but it rebounds nicely to Jonny May, however it's all a bit slow and New Zealand get another penalty.

David: Vunipola has been poor so far – we'd be better off with Simmonds at 8 and Curry and Willis on the flanks.Andrew: Rieko Ioane's indiscipline has cost the All Blacks seven points and about 80m so far.

A nice solid scrum from England just into their own half, but as they run it's offside on the left wing and New Zealand kick deep from the penalty. Another opportunity for pressure is passed up.

That's better for Jack van Poortvliet as he picks up on a loose ball in his own half to tear back at the retreating All Blacks. It's not been a good afternoon for the England scrum-half so far.

Maro Itoje has his knee manipulated by a physio and the lock staggers back to his feet to take part in the next scrum. He doesn't look too happy.

Whether this is a great All Blacks side or not, you still can't afford to waste chances against them.

It was a sensible call from Farrell to get on the board but England have now had three promising entries into the New Zealand 22 which have yielded only three points in total.

Expertly done by the All Blacks at a scrum in their own 22 - they shove England back and win a penalty that is deposited - hoofed, if you will - deep into England's half.

Adam: Jack van Poortvliet needs to settle down quickly. Understandably nervous at the minute, but I'm sure he will grow into the game.

Scott: Wonder what England's try-scoring stats are in relation to the number of phases of possession they have. My utterly unscientific impression is that the higher the phase number, the lower the tries scored.

Jonny May slips free down the left wing but is caught round the neck by Mark Telea, who concedes a penalty.

But the kick from England does not find touch and the All Blacks run it back. Quickly it's back with the hosts and they find touch at another penalty - again, this is the chance to camp out in the NZ 22.

Tyrel Lomax's knee hits the ground and England get a penalty in front of the posts.

Points make prizes so Owen Farrell goes for goal - and slots it with ease to break England's duck.

Jack van Poortvliet is having a tough time here but he also needs more protection from his forwards. There were no guards at the ruck which left the door open for Ardie Savea.

It's all over too quickly as the All Blacks latch onto a loose ball five meters out and try to run it, then Manu Tuilagi is close to flipping another loose pass into Jack Nowell's arms - but it's gone forward and England have a scrum in front of the posts.

After a touch of aerial ping-pong, Owen Farrell kicks for touch at a penalty. They need to start camping out in the All Blacks half, but we are nearly 20 minutes in and they have barely threatened yet.

Overturned!

The try-scorer had Owen Farrell by the neck in the build-up and, after a review, the referee allows England to breathe again.

Rieko Ioane crashes over right under the posts, but there is a review for a possible neck roll by an All Black here...

Another decent kick to the side almost gives Caleb Clark the chance in England's 22, but his pat back infield is bundled into touch.

But they blow it as Maro Itoje jumps, Billy Vunipola gets in front of the jumper and the referee gives the visitors a penalty to relieve the pressure.

Much better from England as they finally get near the opposing line, but Jonny Hill is dumped backwards by a mighty tackle from Rieko Ioane.

They get a penalty and Owen Farrell opts for the corner rather than a kick at goal.
