  2. South Africa changes 'disrespectful' - Sir Gareth Edwardspublished at 15:36 British Summer Time 9 July 2022

South Africa v Wales (16:05 BST)

As I've already mentioned, South Africa head coach head coach Jacques Nienaber's decision to make 14 changes has been met with mixed reactions.

Legendary former scrum-half Sir Gareth Edwards says the decision "disrespected" Wales, but added they will still be "tough" opponents.

"If there had been five or six changes, you would maybe have raised an eyebrow. But 14 changes? It's overwhelming," said the British and Irish Lions great.

"I suppose the only way they [South Africa] can justify it is if they win. I think it shows a little bit of disrespect."

  4. Cuthbert wants to 'right the wrongs' of 2014published at 15:31 British Summer Time 9 July 2022

South Africa v Wales (16:05 BST)

Alex Cuthbert hopes he can help Wales to a famous victory against South Africa today and "right the wrongs" of their heartbreaking 2014 defeat.

Cuthbert produced one of his finest performances in a Wales shirt in the last gasp 31-30 second Test defeat against the Springboks in Nelspruit eight years ago.

  5. Team news - Cuthbert starts for Walespublished at 15:27 British Summer Time 9 July 2022

South Africa v Wales (16:05 BST)

In stark contrast to the Springboks, Wayne Pivac has opted to make just one change from the first Test.

Alex Cuthbert comes in for Josh Adams, who has only recently recovered from a knee injury and had heavy strapping on in Pretoria.

George North, starting again at centre alongside Nick Tompkins, will equal Stephen Jones' record as the most-capped Wales men's international back of all time with 104 this afternoon.

Saracens prop Sam Wainwright is in line to make his debut from the bench. The 24-year-old comes in for Tomas Francis, who has returned home after suffering concussion in the first Test defeat.

Wales: Liam Williams; Louis Rees-Zammit, George North, Nick Tompkins, Alex Cuthbert; Dan Biggar (capt), Kieran Hardy; Gareth Thomas, Ryan Elias, Dillon Lewis, Will Rowlands, Adam Beard, Dan Lydiate, Tommy Reffell, Taulupe Faletau.

Replacements: Dewi Lake, Wyn Jones, Sam Wainwright, Alun Wyn Jones, Josh Navidi, Tomos Williams, Gareth Anscombe, Josh Adams.

  6. Team news - Springboks make 14 changespublished at 15:25 British Summer Time 9 July 2022

South Africa v Wales (16:05 BST)

Much of the talk in the build up to this second Test has surrounded South Africa coach Jacques Nienaber's decision to make 14 changes from last week's win.

Only lock Eben Etzebeth remains from the team that defeated Wales 32-29 in Pretoria.

Fly-half Handre Pollard takes over the captaincy from Siya Kolisi, while uncapped duo Kurt-Lee Arendse and Evan Roos have been handed first Springboks starts.

The 2019 World Rugby player of the year Pieter-Steph du Toit returns to the back row after injury.

In total only four players from the 23 from the first Test have made this squad - hooker Malcolm Marx, prop Vincent Koch and match-winner Damian Willemse are all among the replacements.

South Africa: Warrick Gelant; Kurt-Lee Arendse, Jesse Kriel, Andre Esterhuizen, Aphelele Fassi; Handre Pollard (capt), Jaden Hendrikse; Thomas du Toit, Joseph Dweba, Trevor Nyakane, Eben Etzebeth, Marvin Orie, Marcell Coetzee, Pieter-Steph du Toit, Evan Roos.

  7. Round Two!published at 15:21 British Summer Time 9 July 2022

South Africa v Wales (16:05 BST)

Good afternoon and welcome to the Toyota Stadium in Bloemfontein as South Africa and Wales prepare to go head-to-head for the second Test of their summer series.

Last week Damian Willemse's last-gasp penalty earned the Springboks a dramatic 32-29 win over Wales.

Wayne Pivac's side went into that game as massive underdogs, but exceeded expectations off the back of a Six Nations defeat to Italy in Cardiff.

That performance, despite ending in defeat, has given the tourists renewed confidence ahead of this second Test.

Join us for all the action this afternoon, but first let's take a look at the teams.
