    I'm both nervous and excited.

This Wales side have taken on the world champions on their own turf and nearly won the first Test, and then they went on to win the second Test.

I believe Wales will have taken a lot of confidence from that result last week, and I'm sure the players will be looking forward to this afternoon's game.

  3. Wales captain 'ready' for decisive Springboks Testpublished at 15:36 British Summer Time 16 July 2022

South Africa v Wales (16:05 BST)

Wales captain Dan Biggar says he is physically and mentally ready for the third Test against South Africa.

Biggar was passed fit to start in the series decider after recovering from a shoulder injury he suffered in Wales' second Test victory last weekend.

Biggar expects South Africa to target him.

"I'll enjoy that challenge but wouldn't expect anything different from the Springboks," said Biggar.

"I'm looking forward to it and relishing it."

After the historic second Test victory in Bloemfontein, BBC Sport online voters would have made two changes for today's series decider in Cape Town.

  5. South Africa make 10 changes as Etzebeth wins 100th cappublished at 15:32 British Summer Time 16 July 2022

South Africa v Wales (16:05 BST)

Lock Eben Etzebeth wins his 100th cap after South Africa made 10 changes for the deciding Test against Wales.

Etzebeth, half-backs Handre Pollard and Jaden Hendrikse, prop Trevor Nyakane and flanker Pieter-Steph du Toit are the only five to retain their places.

Hooker Bongi Mbonambi will win his 50th cap in the third Test.

Head coach Jacques Nienaber changed 14 players for the second Test in Bloemfontein, which Wales won 13-12.

Nyakane switches from tight-head to loose-head prop in a further positional alteration, while Hendrikse is again preferred to Faf de Klerk at scrum-half.

Eleven Springboks players in the starting side for the Cape Town decider began the 2019 World Cup final in Japan, when South Africa defeated England.

Etzebeth, who made his Springbok debut in June 2012 against England, will become the seventh South Africa player to reach the milestone, following Victor Matfield, Bryan Habana, Tendai Mtawarira, John Smit, Jean de Villiers and Percy Montgomery.

South Africa: Damian Willemse; Cheslin Kolbe, Lukhanyo Am, Damian de Allende, Makazole Mapimpi; Handre Pollard, Jaden Hendrikse; Trevor Nyakane, Bongi Mbonambi, Frans Malherbe; Eben Etzebeth, Lood de Jager; Siya Kolisi (capt), Pieter-Steph du Toit, Jasper Wiese

Replacements: Malcolm Marx, Steven Kitshoff, Vincent Koch, Franco Mostert, Kwagga Smith, Elrigh Louw, Faf de Klerk, Willie le Roux.

  6. Anscombe blow for Walespublished at 15:31 British Summer Time 16 July 2022

South Africa v Wales (16:05 BST)

Wales have been forced into a late change on the bench, with last week's matchwinner, Gareth Anscombe, out of the series-deciding third Test because of a rib injury.

Fellow fly-half Rhys Patchell takes Anscombe's place among the replacements.

The good news for Wales is that captain Dan Biggar and prop Dillon Lewis both start having been passed fit.

Wayne Pivac has made only one change to his starting XV, with wing Josh Adams replacing the injured Alex Cuthbert.

Cuthbert suffered a shoulder injury during the first half of the 13-12 second Test win in Bloemfontein.

Adams, who came on for Cuthbert last week, scored the late try that was converted by Anscombe to win the game.

Centre Owen Watkin comes in on the bench.

Biggar has overcome a shoulder injury to lead Wales while Lewis has been dealing with an elbow issue.

Pivac says it is miraculous either player is available.

"We've got an excellent medical team. They do a fantastic job and they don't get enough credit a lot of the time," he said.

"To have those two players available, given the way they were after the game last week, has been a miraculous turnaround."

Wales: L Williams; Rees-Zammit, North, Tompkins, Adams; Biggar (capt), Hardy; G Thomas, Elias, D Lewis, Rowlands, Beard, Lydiate, Reffell, Faletau.

Replacements: Lake, W Jones, S Wainwright, Alun Wyn Jones, Navidi, T Williams, Patchell, Watkin.

  7. Welcome to Cape Town!published at 15:29 British Summer Time 16 July 2022

South Africa v Wales (16:05 BST)

Welcome to Cape Town, let's have a party!

Now I've stolen that from a song, but Wales absolutely could be having an almighty party later this evening, as we head into the decisive match in this excellent Test series.

The thrills and spills of Wales' agonising first Test defeat in Pretoria have long been forgotten thanks to last weekend's magnificent win in Bloemfontein.

Incredibly, both Tests so far have been settled right at the end of hugely tense contests, with Damian Willemse the hero for the Springboks in Pretoria and Gareth Anscombe enjoying Wales' magical moment in Bloemfontein to square the series.

Who will make themselves a hero today?

We are now ready for a decider in Cape Town, with Table Mountain overlooking the picturesque DHL Stadium to provide the perfect backdrop.

The stage is set for a huge afternoon of rugby, as Wales look to follow the leads of Ireland and England - what a day it has been already - by winning a Test series in the southern hemisphere.

Let's have a look at that teams, shall we?
