    Mike Haley

What a score! What a start to the second half!

Chris Farrell comes on a looping outside run and Toulouse flanker Rocky Elstadt suddenly comes up short of gas as he attempts to close the gap.

Farrell thunders through, Mike Haley is up in support and the full-back takes the pass and busts through the covering tackles to score.

    Joey Carbery lands the extras.

    The hosts lead once more.

  6. try

Converted try - Munster 14-14 Toulousepublished at 38 mins

    Keith Earls (con Carbery)

Lovely stuff. Damian De Allende punches a hole through Romain Ntamack like the old Gladiators paper burst.

Toulouse are ragged in goalline defence so Joey Carbery sets himself and slings a big old mis-pass over the top to Keith Earls.

A walk in for Earls and Carbery nails the conversion to level things up on the scoreboard.

    Munster 7-14 Toulouse

Munster are playing this quite canny - they are looking to kick in behind and force Toulouse to play from deep

Damian de Allende overcooks one, but on a following passage of play Chris Farrell teases a lovely bit of slipper down the line to force a Munster lineout deep in the Toulouse 22m.

  8. Missed penaltypublished at 35 mins

    Munster 7-14 Toulouse

Joey Carbery will have to put that one down as a miss.

It has the distance, but not the direction.

    Munster 7-14 Toulouse

Romain Ntamack's eyes light up as he gathers a Munster goalline drop-out. He takes on the monster drop-goal and...can only deliver a shonky tiddler.

Opposite number Joey Carbery punishes him with a big wallop and a yardage gain.

Peter O'Mahony steals the resulting line-out. Toulouse are off their feet in defence and it is a 40m shot at goal for Carbery...

    Munster 7-14 Toulouse

Munster are really coming under the cosh at the scrum. That one is better though as the hosts get their crampons on and dig in.

A big dummy crash from Damian de Allende opens up space out wide, but Keith Earls' offload fails to stick in Mike Haley's mitts.

    Matthis Lebel (con Ramos)

Nothing too complex here. The old one-two punch that few chins can withstand. A tremendous shove in the scrum sends Munster's pack south. Penalty advantage and the freedom for the Toulouse backline to chance its arm.

A neat run-around play in midfield. Romain Ntamack to Thomas Ramos, who flips the final pass on to give Matthis Lebel a stroll into the corner.

    Extras from Ramos as well.

A fair chunk of wind sucked out of the Munster sails.

    Munster 7-7 Toulouse

Munster are ready, waiting and able to swallow up the Toulouse driving maul, holding the ball in and forcing a home scrum in the shadow of their own posts.

    Munster 7-7 Toulouse

Antoine Dupont is clutching a bag of ice to the side of his head. Munster have so far managed to marshall the little livewire well.

We are coming back for a penalty to Toulouse. Is this kickable? It is, but Romain Ntamack opts for the corner instead.

    Big moment coming up already...

    Munster 7-7 Toulouse

Munster number eight Jack O'Donoghue is exchanging shoves and sweet nothings with the Toulouse back row after the Munster scrum gets popped up and back at set-piece time.

    Tasty.

Munster will need to shore up the set-piece to have a toe hold in this game.

    Munster 7-7 Toulouse

Hooker Niall Scannell goes down for a bit of attention giving his Munster team-mates and their Toulouse opponents a break.

He is patched up and back on his feet.

    Munster 7-7 Toulouse

A lung-busting passage of play in the Dublin sun.

There are going to some sore legs as well as aching shoulder tomorrow morning.

Munster will hope to run some of the ambition out of Toulouse.

    Ntamack (con Ramos)

You can't relax for a heartbeat when this Toulouse backline is in town.

A bulleted inside ball from Romain Ntamack sends a runners racing in behind the Munster defence.

The ball is recycled swiftly with the home defence at sixes and sevens. Ntamack fumbles the pass as he tries to get his head up and look for space. The fly-half regathers and loops round a wrong-footed defence to go over.

Did it go forward? No. The replay shows it went back out of his hand and that is what counts. As does the try.

    Level pegs.

  18. converted try

Converted try - Munster 7-0 Toulousepublished at 9 mins

    Alex Kendellen (con Carbery)

The replays play out over the big screen to loud home-fan cheers.

Alex Kendellen has clearly got the ball to ground before some Toulouse chancers attempt to wrestle it up and off the floor.

    Joe Carbery adds the extras.

    First blood to the hosts...

    Munster 0-0 Toulouse

Munster burrow over from close range! The crowd roar for a try. Referee Luke Pearce is on his belly trying to get a definitive look.

He thinks it is probably held up, but is going to check upstairs with the video gods...

    Munster 0-0 Toulouse

Fields of Athenry gets a first airing as Munster rumble up to around the Toulouse 22m.

But Luke Pearce blows up for an injury. It is the home nine Conor Murray. The replays show why. Murray was absolutely folded in half by a hit from second row Emmanuel Meafou.

It was just about legitimate, landing as Murray offloaded. Murray is back on his feet.
