Saints replacement prop Oisin Heffernan is yellow-carded for a tackle on a rampaging Jasper Wiese.

Referee Matt Carley said it's head contact but the replays seem to suggest it was a bit lower and the Saints man is perhaps a little unfortunate to be sin-binned.

Nethertheless, the visitors are down to 14 at a crucial stage of the contest.

Saints finally work their way over for a try!

It looked like they should have gone over on the left but when they are stopped short it's moved wide through the hands and Biggar finds Freeman who crosses the whitewash.

An absorbing first half ended with just two penalties each on the scoreboard but that doesn't begin to tell the tale of an absorbing 40 minutes.

Let's hope for more of the same in the second.

I've been really impressed with the Saints scrum. They have not only been holding their own, they've been putting the Leicester scrum under pressure.

But they have to take their opportunities because you won't get many of them because against a quality side you're going to have a period without the ball.

That was an ultra-competitive and fiercely fought half of rugby - no quarter given or asked.

In other words, exactly what you would expect from a Premiership semi-final between rivals.

Saints will be disappointed not to be ahead as they had the clear openings, but Courtnall Skosan's handling failed him at the crucial moment.

Tigers soaked-up pressure before going on the offensive themselves and two George Ford penalties had them leading before Guy Porter's yellow card in injury time allowed Dan Biggar to make it all-square at the halfway mark.
