Leicester miss through Freddie Burns and can't quite stretch away from Saracens.

Owen Farrell drops out on the 22 but can't find touch and here come Leicester.

Richard Wigglesworth's metronomic box kicking continues and the Tigers continue to pin Sarries in corners without territory.

Delicious switch by Leicester from right to left on the back of a penalty advantage.

They will take the kick on the left, on the angle for not rolling away.

Bit of kick-tennis early doors here, as both sides seek to settle.

Alex Lozowski's versatility is crucial here, as he goes to centre and Elliot Daly onto the wing for Saracens.

  4. Second-halfpublished at 41 mins

    Leicester 12-6 Saracens

It was a grimacing Ben Earl that waited for Leicester to come back out for the second half. Sarries want to set things right in the second.

Alex Lozowski has come on for Sarries by the way. Sean Maitland making way.

Tigers look calm and collected. They get us going, Freddie Burns' kick.

    Big 40 for them.

    Leicester not far away...

  6. Was it a red card?published at 15:59 British Summer Time 18 June 2022

    HT: Leicester 12-6 Saracens

Referee Wayne Barnes and his television match officials have come under a bit of fire it's fair to say.

Saracens' Aled Davies was not deemed to be the dominant player in the collision with Leicester's Julian Montoya and certainly gives a bit away in terms of size.

He connected his shoulder with Montoya's jaw and got a yellow.

However, players - and ex-players such as Andy Goode - have been making their point it should have been more.

  7. 'That was real rugby intellect'published at 15:56 British Summer Time 18 June 2022

    HT: Leicester 12-6 Saracens

    Tom Wood
Ex-Northampton and England flanker on BBC Radio 5 Live

    Leicester showed great forward power.

That was real rugby intellect, opting not to go for the scrum, which is normally Leicester's DNA, and with Wiese running at full-tilt there's only going to be one winner.

  8. Leicester the happier at the breakpublished at 15:51 British Summer Time 18 June 2022

    Leicester 12-6 Saracens

    Paul Grayson
Former England fly-half on BBC Radio 5 Live

That last ten minutes Leicester really came to the fore.

It was a clever bit of play with a pre-planned move. It was a great little play and took Saracens by surprise.

They ended the half very well.

It’s Leicester who will be happier in the changing rooms.

Steve Borthwick will be delighted as his Leicester gameplan seems to be working to perfection.

Tries from Hanro Liebenberg and Jasper Wiese have given them a six-point lead, achieved despite losing George Ford to injury part way through the half.

They've also quelled Sarries as an attacking force, and Mark McCall's side need to hit a groove after the break.

Two penalties, from Owen Farrell and Elliot Daly apiece, have kept the men in black in it.

Saracens try to open up the field with a shift to the left but Leicester just slide across and shut down Elliot Daly as he tries to accelerate.

    Relentless.

    Leicester 12-6 Saracens

Sarries' big weaponry, Billy Vunipola aside, has scarcely had chance to run with the ball.

Ben Earl has been so devastating this season but they have lacked the territory for him to work in.

Leicester have been superb. Saracens keep the ball alive in midfield, Mako Vunipola gets a bit of headway, then Alex Goode tries to put a kick behind and Freddie Steward brings it back with intent and then gets the penalty on the back of it.

  12. Great leadership from Gengepublished at 15:43 British Summer Time 18 June 2022

    Vicky Macqueen

What a great decision from Genge.

    That’s leadership at its best.

He’s thought 'we’re in a great position, let’s tap-and-go' and they know exactly what they’re doing.

    Great try

    Jasper Wiese

This time Leicester get the penalty for a collapsed scrum.

It's tapped by Ellis Genge who carts it right in. With Saracens scrambling, the Tigers again go shortside with a slick pass by Richard Wigglesworth for Jasper Wiese to blast over in the corner.

Tigers get the score just before Aled Davies comes back on.

Two tries now. Raw power from Leicester and brilliantly worked.

    Leicester 7-6 Saracens

Owen Farrell has his kick charged down by Richard Wigglesworth and the Leicester machine breaks into life to chase the loose ball.

Chris Ashton gets there and is crowded out. Sarries concede the five-metre scrum having mopped up.

    Tigers in position...

Bit bitty this game in places. Kicking, bit of disruption, not too much by way of flowing moves.

The try was wonderfully worked though. Freddie Steward's change of pace.

    Fordy knows his own body.

There are some things you can run off but if he’s rolled an ankle or sprained something there’s no running it off. Not for a kicker.

What a megaboot the England international has. Wham.

  18. 'Fantastic play from Tigers'published at 15:36 British Summer Time 18 June 2022

    Leicester 7-3 Saracens

    Vicky Macqueen
Ex-England women full-back on BBC Radio Leicester

A well-deserved try. It's really good build-up. You could see the intent, you could see it coming.

They were wrestling Saracens and played them at their own game.

Ashton took a couple of players out then it was pick and go and over the line.

    Fantastic play from Tigers.

    They are in.

Leicester back-rower Hanro Liebenberg crashes over from close range on the back of the tackle on Chris Ashton, and is too big and too strong.

    All made by Freddie Steward.

    Great conversion by Freddie Burns.
