Aled Davies goes to tackle Tigers hooker Julian Montoya, gets slightly side on, and crunches him in the face with the shoulder.

The Saracens' scrum-half has been pulled up by the Television Match Official, as when he goes to wrap the arms the shoulder comes across to the face.

Davies goes to the bin for 10. Yellow card.

Wayne Barnes has warned the Leicester medical staff that they need to make a call on George Ford.

They've made it. Ford will make way. He's being applauded off by the Tigers support.

Big reshuffle. So much of the gameplan is on him. Freddie Burns has the guile to step up, but it's still a big loss.

Ford's last game ends prematurely. He's off to Sale.

Former England fly-half on BBC Radio 5 Live

We just had about 10 minutes or so where Billy Vunipola was the world class Billy of old.

I think he just got a bit giddy there (as he gave the penalty away).

Freddie Burns is up and about on the touchline for Leicester as potential replacement.

Experienced playmaker but never played in a Premiership final before.

George Ford picks the short side with Harry Potter scheming back in-field for Leicester, but a ruck penalty hands initiative back to Saracens.

Ford limps away from that. He's down at pitchside. Could be costly. Just put his foot down awkwardly and might have twisted the ankle.

George Ford misses his kick for Leicester. Sarries drop out on their 22 and the Tigers get the ball back.

    Leicester 0-3 Saracens

Such a narrow lead for Saracens.

Just as I type that, Leicester starting to threaten with a couple of phases with a penalty advantage, which eventually Wayne Barnes blows for.

Offside from Sarries, and the Tigers will seek to level it up from the tee.

Quicksilver break from the base of the maul by Billy Vunipola takes him into open space, and he feeds Max Malins with a swirling pass wide.

Malins kicks ahead for Saracens but the bounce is kind for Leicester and the supporting Aled Davies can't get there.

    Saracens enjoying a purple patch.

These two have the kind of low risk, high efficiency way of playing. It’s in their DNA.

The initial mistake was Aled Davies with the knock-on and the Leicester response was excellent.

There's been a lot of kicking but the game hasn't been without tempo.

After a reset, Leicester feed the scrum but Saracens get the penalty as it collapses.

While there's not been a lot of set-piece so far, the defence of both sides has been stifling so ball in play and space has been hard to come by.

Richard Wigglesworth puts up a box kick and Aled Davies spills at the back for Sarries. Horror show.

Now Leicester will run it and have an attacking opportunity. The kick into the 22 forces Alex Goode to backpedal and the chase is good. Leicester force him back.

    Tigers scrum five away.

We knew with halves of the quality of George Ford and Owen Farrell that kicking games might be key, but Tigers have been a bit wasteful with their use of it.

Twice now Saracens have called marks from misfired shots downfield.

Who will crack in this battle? Leicester enjoying a spell of possession before thrashing another kick which this time Alex Goode calls a mark - number three - and then taps.

    Proper arm-wrestle so far.

Sarries turn to get off the line sharpish and shut down Leicester's play, prompting a box kick from Richard Wigglesworth down into the opposition 22.

Guy Porter is clattered by Mako Vunipola as Leicester attack, and then Nick Isiekwe runs into Freddie Steward for Saracens who does just enough to force a spill.

Tigers get the free-kick following a scrum infringement and George Ford puts up a bomb for Sarries to defuse.

Ball has been in the loose plenty so far. It's full throttle.

Leicester's line-speed has been phenomenal so far, just relentless.

    Ferocious.

The teams are indulging in kick-tennis right now... will let you know when it subsides.

It does, as Owen Farrell finds touch on the 10 metre line.

Saracens were probing on the back of the scrum, trying to make inroads on the Leicester defence.

Guy Porter shut down an Owen Farrell push, with a ball and all tackle, but as he did so, team-mate Hanro Liebenberg whacked a Sarries player off the ball and concedes the penalty.

Sarries will go for the posts.
