The first five minutes of this half have been better than the whole first half. Some really exciting stuff - Edinburgh should have scored.

From an Edinburgh point of view, only being 10 points down isn't a bad outcome. They have done very little in that half. They need to get the breakdown sorted. Glasgow are dominating that, slowing all of Edinburgh's possession down which means they can't get any sort of spark.

I'm surprised by how Edinburgh are playing - they have been so negative. Van der Merwe does my nut, don't stand on the wing mate, come and play.

Jamie Bhatti does really well, latching on. Glasgow's defence definitely on top of the Edinburgh attack on that occasion. It's been a game where the defences have been on top. Given the cold, the wet, the wind, it's no surprise you look to fly off the line - catching and passing becomes harder on these occasions.

Glasgow win a penalty at the breakdown as Jamie Bhatti gets over the ball well.

Sione Vailanu had Chris Dean pinned to the floor a couple of phases prior, but that seems to have gone unnoticed...

Franco Smith won't be best pleased with that restart.

Glasgow knock-on from Charlie Savala's kick-off, and Edinburgh now have a scrum.

It's still pouring with rain so I'll cut the players some slack - the ball will be like a bar of soap.

They're much better when they're back to back, these 1872 Cup games. The losing team gets a chance to right the wrongs with their near neighbours very quickly.
