Edinburgh are having a little spell here.

Freddie Steward collects a long clearance kick in his own 22, and looks to run it out, but Darcy Graham is having none of it.

The wee man chops him down and then is on hand to drive Leicester into touch.

Can Edinburgh get on the board before half-time?

Henry Prygos gets his head up and spots plenty of space in behind Harry Potter.

A wand of a right boot, you might say.

The pleasing thing for Edinburgh is that it's only 3-0.

They have not played well at all, but they could easily go the length of the field and score a try.

Edinburgh are conceding a few penalties as they look to slow the ball down.

Leicester have favoured kicking to touch to try and force the try so far, but they chose the shot at goal there and Handre Pollard misses the target.

    Let-off for the visitors.

    Leicester 3-0 Edinburgh

Absolutely no danger of any running rugby breaking out here - it's so scrappy.

Darcy Graham spills a high ball on his own 10m line and Tigers have possession back.

It's a dreich evening that you'd think that would suit the Scottish outfit, but Leicester are winning the battle so far.

    Leicester 3-0 Edinburgh

The first scrum of the game looks to be going Edinburgh's way, but a penalty goes against WP Nel.

Henry Pyrgos and Jamie Ritchie both look absolutely shocked by that call, but Leicester don't mind one bit and kick to the corner.

Six of one, half a dozen of the other.

  12. Postpublished at 8 mins

Emiliano Boffelli makes a right hash of a pinpoint Jack van Poortvliet box-kick, but thankfully for Edinburgh, captain Jamie Ritchie gets over the ball to win a vital penalty at the breakdown.

If they don't, they've got no chance of winning this game.

  20. A 'real motivation' for Edinburghpublished at 19:55 British Summer Time 31 March 2023

    Leicester Tigers v Edinburgh (20:00)

Edinburgh head coach Mike Blair, who steps down at the end of this season, has been talking to BT Sport ahead of kick-off:

"[The build-up] been good," he said. "Steve [Diamond's] role is to oversee things, and he's added a bit of grunt to things.

"The way the season works for us, there's a lot of change week-to-week, with guys going away. We like the challenge of rotating and giving guys opportunities, but it hasn't worked out results wise.

"This is a team today that we believes can put a lot of pressure on Leicester. There's real motivation there to do well in the game today."
