Matthieu Jalibert is a special talent and can find strings to pull. The French number nine [Maxime Lucu] and 10 [Jalibert] were under pressure as back-ups for Romain Ntamack and Antoine Dupont - they have been brilliant.

Italian rugby - shockingly embarrassing. Truly horrific performance yet again. No fight, no passion, no desire, no plan. They should lose their place at the top table. They should not be in the Six Nations.

France and New Zealand are looking very slick, but neither have had a challenge since the first match. Italy have been terrible the past two weeks. The problem with this World Cup is the gaps between matches. Ireland vs South Africa was levels above all of this!

The win for France secures their spot in the quarter-finals, with their opponent still be confirmed.

It could still be any of Ireland, Scotland or South Africa. Right now it is Springboks which would be a game worthy of the final!

Gregor Townsend’s side might have something to say about that though.
