    Frustrating for Italy.

Straight out of the blocks, France were note perfect. France scoring early set the tone for the half, it settled the crowd and the team.

France are absolutely in control and know where they are heading.

I'm getting the feeling this tournament is going to end as it began with France v New Zealand. They're just going from strength to strength with organisation, teamwork, speed and power.

Thomas Ramos misses a penalty from halfway - we can let him away with one can't we?

That is all for the first half.

Without question France will top the pool.

From one mistake there is a cascade of events which leads to an attacking scrum for France. They play away from the scrum and it is unbelievable skill from Matthieu Jalibert. As he gets tackled he manages to kick it - landing it on a six pence.

    He can't stop scoring.

Matthieu Jalibert sends up a high cross-field kick and Damian Penaud gathers it before putting in a big dive over the line.

Thomas Ramos does not miss from the tee.

The contact was Maxime Lucu's chest and I am not sure it even hit him in the head.

If it takes that many attempts to make the call, there must be an element of doubt from the TMO.

The man who had scored the try Simone Ferrari, in the lead up, puts in a high tackle on Maxime Lucu. There is not a high degree of danger, so a penalty only to France.

Big chance for Italy with a rare entry into the French 22.

Fair play to Ange Capuozzo, he remains a livewire in attack for Italy. But he is the only one offering anything in attack for the Italians.

Worryingly, this is France WITHOUT the best player of his generation. Genuinely worry for Italy here. Could easily reach 100.

First positive play from Italy. Ange Capuozzo links with Tommaso Allan who races clear but it is an unbelievable tackle from Louis Bielle-Biarrey and the ball is lost.

There is no doubt now he starts in this French team.

After the reset scrum, a few pummeling carries from France and then Thomas Ramos pulled the trigger.

Damian Penaud offered a switch ball, then it came back for Ramos on the outside who picked up the pieces with his support.

    And there it is.

A bit of luck as Damian Penaud's offload is nearly spilled but the ball comes back to Thomas Ramos .

The full-back then races over in the corner. He effortlessly converts his own try.

Italy have had a largely positive year leading up to this World Cup. So I'm at a loss as to why they seem to lack any belief.
