Goodbye and au revoirpublished at 19:17 British Summer Time 14 October 2023
FT: Wales 17-29 Argentina
So that's it for Wales.
A World Cup where few thought they could be successful but then rekindle hope and pride has come to a painful end.
Four wins out of four in the pool stage had Wales fans dreaming and even Warren Gatland knows this quarter-final defeat was a "huge missed opportunity".
The inquest will begin about the lineout, discipline, missed opportunities and all the small margins that come with these big Test matches.
But in the end, Wales failed to live up to their own hype.
Argentina will now watch tonight's second semi-final between Ireland and New Zealand to discover who they will play in Paris next Friday night for a place in the World Cup final.
For Wales, they are packing their bags.
Join our live coverage of all the matches, including England's quarter-final here in Marseille tomorrow before France face South Africa.
Goodbye for now.
