Here we go, a reset scrum and a bit of scruffy rugby. This is more like it lads.

Six tries in 30-odd minutes. Sacre bleu!

A five-metre lineout and you think France are going to a driving maul. Jonathan Danty came flat and had the leg drive of his team-mates, but Cyril Baille was there to recycle... he is on for a hat-trick!
Cyril Baille (con Ramos)
Ludicrous.
France's prop is on a hat-trick as a constant wave of pressure ends with the number one Cyril Baille diving over from inches. That's three tries apiece as Thomas Ramos spanks the conversion over.

Cheslin Kolbe, who scored a try a moment ago, now saves one with a scarpering piece of play in the corner. But here come France again, they think they are over...

Five tries is extraordinary rugby back and forth. France are playing brilliantly and South Africa have hit some fantastic counter-attacks.
The execution has been absolutely outstanding.

It's basketball out there. But better. France wing Damian Penaud now lobs a deft kick in behind and he's a kind bounce away from scarpering in for yet another.

React and adapt. The reaction to the turnover in midfield was swift and clinical.
Cheslin Kolbe (con Libbok)
Goodness me.
Talk about being clinical again, South Africa are on the backfoot and then put France away in the blink of an eye. This time it's centre Jesse Kriel dabbing a kick in behind perfect for wing Cheslin Kolbe, who scoops and gathers in one motion and scampers in the corner.
Manie Libbok is left with a tricky kick but drills it.

It's ludicrous that this is only a quarter-final. It might be the best rugby I've ever seen.

You cannot miss opportunities with the boot, both sides have to make them count.

It's extraordinary output from France when they are on the front foot, but do not take your eyes off Antoine Dupont for one minute.
He draws Siya Kolisi and then gives it the hooker Peato Mauvaka.
Peato Mauvaka
...until they can! South Africa are pinged for a penalty and France tap and go instantly, hooker Peato Mauvaka is on the wing again and drives for the line.
The Stade de France is shaking to its very core. What a noise! And that's brilliant too, Thomas Ramos has his conversion charged down!
France 7-12 South Africa
It's basically another sport compared to some of the games we've seen in the tournament. The speed and intensity of both sides in attack and defence is absolutely captivating. France get through 11 phases but can't get there...

No thoughts of running with it from Manie Libbok, it was a great kick from Libbok to set up that try and they did have men waiting out there too.
They recycled quickly and I tell you what Antoine Dupont made a tackle and I think if he was not injured he would have put his head over the ball to jackal.

This could really be any scoreline tonight. Hold on to your hats.
Damian de Allende
Remarkable! The resilience and the clinical touch of champions. It feels like South Africa are getting battered but they lead!
So well taken again, centre Damian de Allende drives through a gap, is well tackled but is on his feet so quickly to receive the ball again and make it over this time.
Manie Libbok duffs the conversion.
France 7-7 South Africa
France's kicking game here is another level. There's no bombs up in the air or just looking for territory, every time they put boot to ball it's nearly putting someone in for a score it seems. It also means South Africa's pack are fighting a war on two fronts, constantly being moved around.

I’ve pulled my hamstring just watching this game!!!

Tremendous effort from range by Thomas Ramos, but it doesn't quite have the legs and hits the base of the post. No dice.
