    Exeter 7-10 Glasgow

There's a slight mismatch as Rusi Tuima, who the internet informs me is 6ft 5in and 128kg, runs at little Duncan Weir, but the Glasgow 10 does really well to take the Exeter man's ankles away and chop him down.

Kyle Rowe's try looked to have Glasgow firmly in control before Exeter hit back right at the end of the first half.

The Scotland winger won't have had too many easier scores in his career to date.

That's just what the doctor ordered for Exeter.

Glasgow were well in control, but Exeter have put a lot of good rugby together in the last 10 minutes and been very patient.

It's not been a great game of rugby, but Glasgow will be delighted to have the lead.

    Exeter 7-10 Glasgow

Henry Slade knocks over the conversion, and that is that for the first half at Sandy Park.

    Jacques Vermuelen

    Finally the pressure tells.

Glasgow resist Exter for phase after phase, but they can only hold out for so long, and the giant flanker Jacques Vermuelen smashes his way over the line for a vital score.

    Exeter 0-10 Glasgow

Exeter are held up over the line, but referee Pierre Brousset calls it back for another penalty.

A brilliant tackle from Stafford McDowall denies Tom Wyatt, but still Exeter come.

  9. Postpublished at 39 mins

    Exeter 0-10 Glasgow

Zander Fagerson is penalised for collapsing the scrum, and the hosts choose to scrum again.

These are big moments in the context of this game.

Any points are crucial for Exeter now. They need something positive to take in at half-time.

    Exeter 0-10 Glasgow

    Heads in hands for Exeter.

Tom Wyatt goes over to score, but Pierre Brousset calls him back for a knock-on earlier in the move.

However, off the back of the scrum, Duncan Weir drops the ball as he shapes to kick, and Exeter will get another chance.

    Exeter 0-10 Glasgow

Exeter are building up a head of steam as we approach half-time.

They get to within five metres of the Glasgow line, and then win a penalty as Glasgow stray offside.

    The hosts tap-and-go...

    Exeter 0-10 Glasgow

We've not seen much of Henry Slade so far this afternoon, but the England centre shows all his quality with a lovely left-footed kick into space.

Josh McKay sprints back, and Exeter think he takes the ball into touch, but the touch judge rightly says he kept it in play.

    Only just, mind.

That is an awful mistake, poor old Ben Hammersley. He's had a disappointing first 27 minutes. He tried to fly hack that ball, and instead his miskicked it right into the hands of Kyle Rowe.

You'd have to say, Glasgow are looking very comfortable at 10-0 up and they've been the better side, there's no question of that. Chiefs have a lot of work to do.

    Kyle Rowe

    An absolute gift for Glasgow!

George Horne dinks a kick over the top of the Exeter defence, but it's a wee bit long, and Ben Hammersley beats Kyle Rowe to the ball.

However, the Exeter winger inexplicably opts to kick it, and it goes straight into Rowe's grateful hands.

He doesn't need a second invite and races away to score under the posts.

Duncan Weir adds a simple conversion, and Glasgow now lead by 10.

    Exeter 0-3 Glasgow

Duncan Weir has passed his HIA, and returns to the fray.

  17. Postpublished at 22 mins

    Exeter 0-3 Glasgow

Tom Wyatt slips away from a couple of Glasgow tackles, before he's eventually hauled down by Huw Jones.

The hosts march into the Glasgow 22, but get wrapped up in the tackle, and Glasgow will have a scrum.

It's really good defence from the Warriors, who looked in trouble there.

That should have been a try, shouldn't it? Exeter were caught very narrow, two men went for the same ball and it left Ally Miller free.

Exeter are living close to the edge.

    Exeter 0-3 Glasgow

Ally Miller shows real pace to burst away down the right wing.

Exeter are stretched, and when Miller passes inside to George Horne, you'd back the wee scrum-half to collect and score.

He takes his eye off the ball though, it goes to ground, and another chance goes begging.

Will Glasgow come to regret not being further in front?

    Exeter 0-3 Glasgow

Exeter have their first spell of possession this afternoon, but after multiple phases they get pinged at the breakdown and any momentum slips away.
