Frame 16: Selby 9-7 O'Sullivan (134-0, Selby break of 134)

The excellence continues.

The fans in York are getting their money's worth today. That's four centuries in five frames, with an 82 in the other one.

Selby produces his second century break of the match (this one a 134) after O'Sullivan's costly missed attempt at a brown into the middle pocket.

A shot with a rest gives Selby a scare. The red wobbles around the pocket but drops as the break continues, it is up to 54 now.

It is still early in the 16th frame and Selby is at the table. He would love to wrap up this frame, to move only one away from glory. He is on a break of 25 at the moment after a missed brown into the middle pocket from O'Sullivan.

Stunning, absolutely stunning. So the run of breaks have been 134 (O'Sullivan), 137 (Selby), 130 (O'Sullivan), 82 (O'Sullivan).

O'Sullivan was five behind at one stage, now there is only one in it. O'Sullivan makes a break of 82 and the scoreboard now says, Selby 8-7 O'Sullivan.

Well, O'Sullivan has started well and just split open the pack of reds. This could be 8-7 very soon.

Unreal snooker in this evening session with three straight complete clearances. Journalists are now asking each other when to start writing the 'O'Sullivan seals stunning comeback' copy.

If he takes this one, there may be a few re-writes taking place.

Ronnie O'Sullivan has once again shown why he is such a phenomenon in snooker. 

He's just recorded his 100th century in this tournament. Five short of the all time record set by Stephen Hendry.

And his 851st century break of his career. It is a majestic performance that we are seeing here.

I am gobsmacked. I had to clap Ronnie for that century. I know they can't hear us but I just felt I had to, it was so good. They are producing a phenomenal standard on a difficult table. They're making it look so easy.

A few years ago Clive Everton used the phrase "snooker from the gods", but this is another universe. Three consecutive 130s is amazing.

We said it was the perfect final, and it is panning out that way. Who is going to win this one? I have no idea, to be honest. Wonderful stuff.

Remember, the man who gets to 10 is the champion. Selby needs two more, O'Sullivan needs four.

Frame 14: Selby 8-6 O'Sullivan (0-130, O'Sullivan break of 130)

Wow. We are seeing an incredible standard at the moment. O'Sullivan made a break of 134 in the 12th frame, Selby responded with 137 in the 13th and O'Sullivan has just stormed through the table in the 14th with a 130 clearance. 

By the way, that is the 100th century O'Sullivan has ever made in the UK Championship. Incredible stuff.

We were talking not so long ago about Judd Trump and Ronnie O'Sullivan but the more Selby and O'Sullivan meet, the bigger rivalry they'll have. 

And into frame 14 we go. O'Sullivan has made 39 so far in the break and is still at the table. Selby yet to score in this frame.
