    Frame 20: Higgins 7-12 Trump

Judd Trump looks like he's back in business.

He kicked things off with a trademark long red and he's now building a substantial lead. Will it be a frame clinching one?

He's knocked a couple of difficult reds into play and doesn't look like missing.

  5. 'Trump won't be panicking yet'published at 14:51 British Summer Time 6 May 2019

    Frame 20: Higgins 7-12 Trump

    Stephen Hendry
Seven-time world champion on BBC Two

I don't think Judd Trump will be panicking yet. He played that frame pretty well. He couldn't buy a good positional shot there. He won't want to get to the interval without winning a frame.

The statistics in this final are ridiculous, the standard has been of the highest quality.

The two players have made eight centuries and a further seven breaks of 50 or more in 19 frames.

There has only been four frames in which neither John Higgins nor Judd Trump were able to make a sizeable contribution.

    Frame 20: Higgins 7-12 Trump

    John Virgo

Marvellous. This man has got some heart. Judd Trump had four chances, John Higgins got one and he took it. He's not going away - I'll promise you that.

    Frame 19: Higgins 7-12 Trump

John Higgins has only gone and taken another frame. He's got a chin of granite this fella.

He was absolutely pummelled by Judd Trump on Sunday night but that's two in a row with a break of 59.

    The deficit is now five.

    Frame 19: Higgins 6-12 Trump

    Ken Doherty
1997 world champion on BBC Two

What a message this would send out. Judd Trump must be feeling a little nervous now. He wasn't before.

Now then can John Higgins nick another frame?

A few signs that Judd Trump hasn't got going yet as he lets in the Scot. Unlike last night Higgins has an easy starter.

Junaid Mati: THAT ONE FINAL BLACK! What a start. What a final. Happy snooker final day everyone! Sobbing at the fact I have to start work now.

Robert Rees: John Higgins has just produced one of the best shots you’ll ever see and it was on a 147 break! Amazing!

Mr M: I tell you what, Game of Thrones hasn’t got half the suspense and drama as the snooker.

    Frame 19: Higgins 6-12 Trump

    Shamoon Hafez

There is a great feeling of a big missed opportunity of seeing a maximum 147 break in a World Championship final.

It has never happened before, John Higgins had done all the hard work but missed a straight forward black.

The last max in Sheffield remains Stephen Hendry's from 2012 in the first round against Stuart Bingham.

    Frame 19: Higgins 6-12 Trump

Pretty cagey start to frame 19 as Judd Trump bangs in a red but can't find position.

The pack is split wide open. Whoever gets in next will have a great chance of winning this in one visit.

Joey: Here we go then! Whilst I'm gutted a truly tremendous season is coming to a close, I am so stoked for these last two sessions! CMON JUDD!

Andrew Lawes: So excited about today's snooker. Really hope Trump completes the victory and finally becomes World champ, but hope Higgins manages to put up a fight. It could end with a session to spare, and nobody wants that. Wonder how Trump will handle the weight of expectancy.

  19. Higgins strikes backpublished at 14:27 British Summer Time 6 May 2019

    Frame 18: Higgins 5-12 trump

What. A. Shot. He plays a long range double that has got hundreds and thousands sprinkled on top. John Higgins' wand is back in working order today.

He misses the final black but it's still an astonishing start.

It's probably also his first smile for almost 24 hours but who wouldn't after a break of 113.

John Higgins' wife Denise is beaming in the gallery. With his sons Pierce and Oliver, and daughter Claudia also in attendance there's areal show of family solidarity.

But on the table he's doing them proud. He's already negotiated a couple of tricky pots. Can he keep this up? He's run out of position on the final red. What has the Wizard of Wishaw got up his sleeve here?
