Stevie: Worrying thing for Kyren Wilson is that Ronnie is in second gear. Hope it's not a one-sided final.

    Frame eight: O'Sullivan 5-2 Wilson

What. A. Miss. Kyren Wilson gets a reprieve as Ronnie shanks one to the bottom left corner.

Some big moments ahead here for Wilson who is in the balls at last. Bet his heart rate is up a tad. He really needs this frame.

    Frame eight: O'Sullivan 5-2 Wilson

A superb safety from Ronnie O'Sullivan puts Kyren Wilson in all sorts of trouble behind the brown.

It's an awkward one, a touching ball in fact and after missing his intended red with his first shot, he totally fluffs his second go.

    O'Sullivan in again.

Another scrappy one so far. I was sort of expecting Kyren Wilson to take his fair share of these frames.

He could badly do with this one.

Maybe The Rocket has lift off now in this final.

That's what you expect from the final. A beautiful break from O'Sullivan and everything just fell into place.

Just a 106 break there for Ronnie. Much more like it. Kyren Wilson has a few problems at the minute.

Nothing is holding him back at the minute Olly. A 12th century this tournament in the usual rapid fashion.

Olly Fayers: Kyren Wilson has won waistcoat wars for this tournament. That should really come with a prize of some kind. Ronnie's obsessed with his cueing action, but maybe it's his bog standard waistcoat holding him back.

This would be worrying times for Kyren Wilson if a sub-par Ronnie O'Sullivan ends the session with a 6-2 lead

  11. Postpublished at 15:53 British Summer Time 15 August 2020

    Frame seven: O'Sullivan 4-2 Wilson

Ronnie O'Sullivan is going through the gears. He's not been at his best but when he's in the balls you still fancy him to score heavily.

    Frame seven: O'Sullivan 4-2 Wilson

That's a touch loose from Ronnie O'Sullivan. He rolls up into the reds but has left Kyren Wilson with half a chance.

He has to get the rest out but produces a lovely pot. All of a sudden though a toughish pink into the top corner goes awry and Ronnie is back at the table.

You are kind of waiting for the final to spark into life. We were treated to so much great snooker on Friday but it just hasn't happened yet.

Generally, it’s a very subdued start to his final. There is no spark from either player, which is very strange.

Ronnie is kind of going through the motions. Kyren Wilson has two frames on the board but hasn’t produced anything really.

Maybe tonight the sparks will fly.

    Frame six: O'Sullivan 3-2 Wilson

So unlucky for Ronnie O'Sullivan, who smashes in a black but then sees the cue ball cannon into, but not sufficiently free up the reds on the bottom rail.

A foul from Kyren Wilson, trying to snick a red leaves him in trouble though.

Looks like another frame is in the bag for Ronnie.

Marezjr: Come on Ronnie, sort out that cue action!

Lambhunas: That bottom right corner pocket is cursed...

    Frame six: O'Sullivan 3-2 Wilson

Great shot and a loud chorus of applause as Ronnie O'Sullivan ends a bout of safety with a sublime long red into the bottom left corner.

He couldn't put the reds in a better position. Big chance to open up a two-frame lead again.

The poor standard, as you would expect, seeming to affect Ronnie O'Sullivan more than Kyren Wilson.

Kyren would be delighted to get in at 4-4 here I reckon.

    Frame six: O'Sullivan 3-2 Wilson

Now then can Kyren Wilson draw level?

Neither player covers them self in glory at the start of the frame, with both guilty of some pretty bad misses. Ronnie O'Sullivan is walking around practising his cue action at every opportunity.

It's been a very indifferent start.

    Frame Five: O’Sullivan 3-2 Wilson

    Stephen Hendry

Wilson will feel better scoring that. He will feel more involved now he's made a break to win the frame.

To be honest it's been a poor start quality wise, to say it's a world final. No one has really grabbed the match by the scruff of the neck yet.
