Andy Murray with one of those miracle shots from out wide that not only get the ball back in court, but also leave the opponent gasping at a clean winner.

    Break and set point.

    Murray 4-6 7-5 6-7 (4-7) 5-3 Raonic*

Milos Raonic serving to stay in the fourth set. Andy Murray with a free hit at the Canadian's tee-off.

Raonic's clubbing forehand brings an emphatic end to a rally and 40-15 popping up on the scoreboard.

That double-fault gremlin pops up for the sixth time in the match. 40-30.

And Murray has forced this game to deuce.

    Murray 4-6 7-5 6-7 (4-7) 5-3 Raonic*

Andy Murray's dialogue with the players' box now resembles an impassioned and lengthy speech at the United Nations. All hand gestures, emphasis and background rumble of anger.

Whatever he is saying, he seems to have talked himself down from the brink of handing back the break.

An necessarily dramatic game is finally in the bag.

Andy Murray comes to the net to pile pressure on the Milos Raonic backhand.

Brave. And wise. An easy put-away volley to take the game back to deuce.

  9. Break point Raonicpublished at 11:53 Greenwich Mean Time 29 January 2016

    *Murray 4-6 7-5 6-7 (4-7) 4-3 Raonic

Andy Murray is gnawing away at Milos Raonic's ground game, keeping the ball coming back with persistent depth and devil.

He looks like he is sailing through the game at 40-15 up. But then he cruises straight into some choppier waters.

Murray inexplicably duffs wide with a clear corridor of court to hit into. 40-30.

    A forehand long. Deuce.

    Another error. Advantage Raonic.

"Raonic missed a couple on his first serve and Murray is more likely to win the rally on second serve. He had a bit of luck but that's what he needs."

    Bingo!

Andy Murray puts the previously teak-tough Milos Raonic's serve through the mincer with a break to love.

He has his nose ahead in the fourth.

This is going all the way isn't it? Don't touch that dial/mouse/device.

    Murray 4-6 7-5 6-7 (4-7) 3-3 Raonic*

Andy Murray with glimmer at 0-30. Make that a fully-fledged gap!

Milos Raonic folds under a barrage of aggression, duffing wide and offering up 0-40 and three break points...

    Wowers!

Andy Murray, stretching every sinews out wide, lasers a down-the-line winner over the highest part of the net for a superb winner.

Milos Raonic trudges back to the baseline knowing that you just have to suck up shots like that when you play Murray and hope you can chip away enough points from the rest of the match.

Murray looks like he is settling into his groove though.

    *Murray 4-6 7-5 6-7 (4-7) 2-3 Raonic

Milos Raonic has Andy Murray doing shuttle runs behind the baseline as creeps in, peppers the angles and steals time from the Scot.

Eventually even Murray's defences are worn through and he is up against 40-0.

Better from Murray as he snatches back the initiative by coming to the net and forcing 40-30.

Raonic is scrapping and scraping to stay in the rally on the next point, but Murray strays long as he goes for the jugular.

    Murray 4-6 7-5 6-7 (4-7) 2-2 Raonic*

Milos Raonic looks right as rain.

He has the upper hand in rally at 15-15, dictating terms, only for Andy Murray to find a superb dipping pass that cuts the Canadian off at the knees.

A couple of lax shots from Raonic let Murray through, but that looked like a breakdown in concentration rather than body.
