Matt Lloyd: Raonic in total control here, looks like a player with bags of potential

Nathan Smith: McEnroe has clearly improved Raonic's game. Future Wimbledon winner.

Raonic was famous for his serve and being slightly predictable but he's becoming unpredictable now, which is a good thing. His variation is good and he's giving different targets to Murray.

He hasn't closed this match out but if he does what a message this would send out to the rest of the field.

How do you respond to going 3-0 down in the second set?

I know...how about a massive stonking ace, a lofted forehand winner, a backhand into the corner and an overhead smash at the net?

    Murray holds to love. Boom.

Milos Raonic is buzzing for this now. He's all over Murray like a nasty rash.

The Canadian finds the bottom corner with precision to go to 30-0 and then forces Murray to hit into the net for 40-0.

And a huge serve sees him hold with ease.

That was a silly time call in my opinion. I love fast play but this match is going at a good pace and you don't need to bother with warnings unless it's consistent. Just let them get on with it.

  7. Raonic breaks Murraypublished at 15:33 British Summer Time 19 June 2016

    Murray 6-7 0-2 Raonic*

Seven straight points to Milos Raonic as he takes first dibs on Murray's service game.

Murray responds with a volleyed winner but Raonic moves to 15-30 with another drop shot close to the net.

And now the world number nine earns break point.

First, Murray gets a time violation. Ooops. And can then only smack a forehand into the net. Double ooops.

    *Murray 6-7 0-1 Raonic

Raonic moves 40-0 clear on his opening serve of the second set and Andy Murray can be heard grumbling at the other end. The boy is not happy.

His Canadian opponent holds to love to make the perfect start.

No break points, no surprise, but Raonic took control of the tie-break with some fine volleying, a possible sign of the McEnroe influence. Meanwhile, jackets are being rummaged for as the clouds gather and the temperature dips.

Cats Corner: Are we heading back to the boring days of tennis in the Sampras era... serve bang, serve bang, serve bang, serve bang game over?

Jonathan Lansana: This has turned into a great final, pretty evenly matched and open for either player to take.

If ever there's an illustration of what McEnroe is trying to get Raonic to do it was in those first four or five shots of the tie-break where he attacked and hit some great shots.

There's a long way to go but Raonic's confidence has to have grown. Murray has to hope that Raonic's serving power will wane at some point but he's not lost serve all week.

    Murray 6-6 (4-5) Raonic

Andy Murray clips the top of the net but it falls the wrong side. So close for the Briton.

He makes amends with a huge cross-court ace. Take that! 5-3 in Raonic's favour now.

And a superb exchange at the net sees Murray snatch another point back.

    Murray 6-6 (2-4) Raonic

Murray back on serve and he gets off the mark. A relief for the British number one.

Milos Raonic pops the ball into the net and it's 3-2. Back to Raonic's serve now.

Murray then groans with displeasure as Raonic moves to 4-2.

    Murray 6-6 (0-3) Raonic

Andy Murray starts us off on the tie-break.. but the point goes to Milos Raonic with a drop shot very close to the net.

And then Murray can only hit out of bounds as Raonic moves two points clear.

Make that three. Raonic is bossing this tie-break so far.

Andy Murray has a word with himself as he overcooks a backhand past the baseline. He wasn't happy about that.

Yet another Raonic ace flies past the Scotsman for 40-0 and the Canadian takes us to a tie-break with a forehand cross court.

    Murray 6-5 Raonic*

Both players are pinned to their baselines as they engage in one of the longest rallies so far. Andy Murray eventually wins out.

Raonic messes up a drop shot before Murray sends a forehand into the net. 30-all.

But Murray serves an ace and then sees a Raonic backhand slice go into the net.

    We remain on serve.

Can Murray find a break here?

He forces Milos Raonic into going for the big forehand and the Canadian can only slam carelessly into the net to make it 30-30.

But hang on, he's just pulled out a massive ding-dong of a serve. 40-30.

And the world number nine comes into the net and pings over a drop shot. He holds serve again.
