We're all over for another day.

Join us back here from 10:00 BST on Saturday for more fun and games.

  2. 'We hope to get some good weather'published at 21:25 British Summer Time 1 July 2016

Four-time Wimbledon semi-finalist Tim Henman speaking on BBC Two a few minutes ago about the decision to have play on Sunday to clear the backlog of matches.

“It was pretty straightforward as we still have second round matches. You’ve got to avoid sections of the draw getting too far apart.

“If we weren’t to play on Sunday, women would be playing the third round on Monday, fourth round on Tuesday, the quarter-finals on Wednesday and the semi-finals on Thursday.

“Their hand was slightly forced. It has only happened three times in the past and there’s a few logistical issues, but it’s great for the fans.

“This is an opportunity for the fans when they apply online but we do hope we get some good weather.”

So do we, Tim. So do we.

    Federer 6-4 6-2 6-2 Evans

Roger Federer speaking to BBC TV: "I got a good start in all three sets and that helps a lot so I was able to play more freely.

"He was under pressure. He got no free points off his own serve but I was able to get a lot back and get a lot of balls and be in aggressive position, so it was great for me and I was extremely pleased.

"I won’t be playing him (Andy) for a while. It was fun playing Marcus and Dan they are very talented and I wish them well in the future. It is always a pleasure playing local guys."

"Come on, Dan," shout the crowd as Dan Evans now attempts to hold to love.

And he does! The British number four watches a Federer return go past the baseline and he chalks off his service game.

    *Federer 6-4 6-2 2-1 Evans

Federer is patrolling the net with intent and waits patiently for a drop-shot winner. Evans is miles back and has no chance of racing onto it. He's a sly dog, that Roger fella.

But now the world number three is hitting his racquet in frustration as Evans pulls it back to 30-30.

But you don't want to anger Federer. He catapults a forehand cross-court for break point - 99 mph!

We go to deuce as Evans taps over a winner at the net, but Federer moves back to break point again.

Evans hits long and Federer remains on top.

That hold of serve makes things look so much better for Dan Evans. He's ahead in the set based on that. It makes a difference to your mindset when you look at the board.

It's small victories for Evans at the moment. He draws Federer into a rare mistake and moves to 15-30.

But the Swiss quickly recovers to close it out in style with two huge serves.

Evans is back on serve, trying to salvage this match against the world number three.

The 26-year-old volleys a winner for 30-30 and then demolishes a straight backhand. Take that, R-Fed!

And a blistering forehand after a decent rally sees the Briton hold. Big cheers from Centre Court.

Dan Evans can't do much more - other than what he's doing, and knee-ing Roger at the net! It's just so hard. He's playing too nice for Roger. If he doesn't change what he's doing, at least take time between points. Frustrate Roger in that way.
