  1. Cibulkova's secret talentpublished at 14:24 British Summer Time 2 July 2016

There's no way I can headline this without the risk of innuendo/getting the sack.

So, I'll just say: this is brilliant.

Slovakia's Dominika Cibulkova shows BBC Sport a strange talent that involves sniffing tennis balls.

These Court 18 covers are more on and off than a rocky relationship. Cheers when the covers start to be moved off, groans when they are moved back. A bit more to-ing and fro-ing leaves everyone confused. Hooray! They're fully whipped off. And then here's the net post. They'll be doing the conga in the stands next.

It's just so hard right now for Bertens to find the right ratio between offense and keeping the ball in play.

    Djokovic 6-7 1-6 4-0 Querrey

I see ballboys on Court One. I don't see any umbrellas.

And now I see Novak Djokovic and Sam Querrey.

    We are back in business!

She was broken in the opening game, but now Simona Halep is in charge on Centre Court.

She's raced into a 3-0 lead in the second set and looks to be on course for the last 16.

Confusion reigns - and rains - on the outside courts.

It *looks* sunny, we see blue skies, so the covers come off.

Twenty minutes later, still no players appear.

And then umbrellas go back up. Covers back on.

I despair of you, mother nature.

Halep certainly saved her best tennis for the end of the first set - she's hitting the ball so hard now. When she's on the front foot, she's a wonderful ball-striker.

    *Halep 6-4 Bertens

Simona Halep has reached the quarter-finals in Australia, the semis at the US Open and Wimbledon and the final at Roland Garros. But no Grand Slam title yet.

She has just taken the first set on Centre Court, though, after coming through 6-4 against Kiki Bertens.

  11. Middle Sunday decisionpublished at 13:59 British Summer Time 2 July 2016

All England Club chief executive Richard Lewis said of the move, announced on Friday, to add the middle Sunday to the programme:

"This has been a difficult decision, but one we had to take to reduce the backlog of matches and in the interests of completing the championships on time.

"And as with other Middle Sundays I am sure there will be a great atmosphere."

Sam Querrey is a one-way train - his strength is also his weakness. He doesn't think too much out there. I think Djokovic has still got to establish himself [when they reach] the fourth set. It's still a dangerous position.

    Halep 4-3 Bertens*

Kiki Bertens' racquet is on the floor and she has her head in her hands. The 26th seed has the opportunity to finish off a point, but her volley skews wide.

Post-face palm, the Dutch woman composes herself and manages to break back against Simona Halep.

Now she will serve to level the set.

Bright sunshine overhead, covers coming off, the normally reserved patrons roaring their approval. Question is, will this irritating and prolonged rain delay have the same enervating effect on the listing Querrey as it appeared to on Djokovic overnight?

Looks like Novak Djokovic v Sam Querrey will be resuming (again) very shortly.

Because Simona Halep doesn't have the raw power of some other elite players, she has to hit the ball early and try to rob her opponents of time.
