Novak got the early break and that's exactly what he was looking for. It couldn't be any better for him. This little rain delay doesn't seem that it's going to be for very long, but this will give Sam a little moment with his coach to discuss what's happening in this third set.

The rain came to Novak Djokovic's rescue last night. Maybe it is doing Sam Querrey a favour here.

The heavens open and the rain starts coming down in fat, splattering drops.

    The players troop backstage.

The tent is being inflated over the court. This might not be a brief delay.

Sam Querrey running around his forehand, Novak Djokovic slicing back at him, daring him to go down the line and open up the cross-court forehand for the Serb.

The American cannot quite summon the courage.

    Into the net. Deuce.

Harry and chase from Djokovic. A break point. More defensive mastery. Querry over-cooks once more.

Eight errors so far in this set so far from the underdog. Is Querrey back to being the underdog?

Richard: If I had a pound, I'd put it on Djokovic to win. New day. New game. He'll win it in straight sets.

Paul Holland: Problem for Querrey is he's had all night to think about this.

Kenny Simpson: Here we go...Djokovic on the comeback train.

You see Querrey trying to be aggressive in the rally, which is the right thing, but the footwork is not quite as good as it was yesterday.

For the first time this week, Andy Murray has switched practice courts from 15 to 16. Superstitious behaviour? No, probably just Wimbledon admin.

Although the surroundings have changed, he remains under the watchful eye of coach Ivan Lendl.

    Djokovic 6-7 (6-8) 1-6 3-0 Querrey*

Sam Querrey bows out of the game with an ugly clumped backhand well wide of the tramlines. And a little long into the bargain.

The American is throwing the kitchen sink into his groundstrokes and hunting the lines. He wants to keep the rallies short, making or breaking them on his own strings rather than allowing Djokovic to grind him down.

He has to stay bold, even if it is going to result in some underwhelming games like that one.

    *Djokovic 6-7 (6-8) 1-6 2-0 Querrey

Novak Djokovic works up his second break point of the match as Sam Querrey pushes a forehand long.

Querrey smacks down a slam-dunk ace to see it off.

Novak is sniffing around and has the scent of a break in his nostrils though.

Querrey forced wide again. Another ace knocks back a second break point.

But the third time is the charm for Djokovic.

Settle in and sit down. We could be here for some time.

    Djokovic v Querrey

    Tom Fordyce
    Chief sports writer at Wimbledon

In the year of sporting shocks, is another seismic wave about to send all sense and wagers flying in the air? The Querrey serve was an indomitable weapon before rain stopped play on Friday night, and if it fires again in this warm Saturday sunshine it'll bring a tie-break at least. And then...

    Djokovic 6-7 (6-8) 1-6 1-0 Querrey*

Sam Querrey has come of his stool swinging.

Some jumbo-sized forehands deep and true force the top seed back on his heels, and a deft top-spinning flick finds the angle for 30-30.

Djokovic does enough to shut the door.

But that was a punchy opening game from the American.

Bird disrupts play on court 18

Twit twoo! There has just been an unwanted visitor to Court 18.

This pesky bird decided to interrupt Grigor Dimitrov's match against Steve Johnson, much to the amusement of the crowd. Especially when Johnson lobbed a ball in its direction to move the little fella on and he dodged it.

Birdy swooped around for a few more seconds, lapped up the love and then disappeared off to woo Court 19.

Anyone want to put a name to what sort of bird that is? Pied wagtail?
