Neil Leverett: At least Cibulkova won't have to cancel her weekend plans.... Cmon girl!
Cibulkova 2-6 0-3 Vesnina*
Oh dear. It's not going well for Dominika Cibulkova on Court One.
She's been completely dominated by Elena Vesnina who breaks again to take a 3-0 lead in the second. The Russian looks to be cruising into her first Grand Slam semi-final, where she will play either Serena Williams or Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova.
S Williams 6-4 4-4 *Pavlyuchenkova
The chunkiest of net cords as a wobbly backhand from Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova trips over onto Serena Williams' side and beds down the day.
That gives the Russian 40-30 and the Centre Court crowd edge nearer the front of their sought-after seats as a rally of thrust, parry and counter opens up.
Serena cracks the whip across court and finally Pavlyuchenkova's wells of resolve come up empty with the ball buried in the midpoint of the net.
S Williams 6-4 4-4 Pavlyuchenkova*
John McEnroe
Three-time Wimbledon singles champion on BBC TV
You can see why Pavlyuchenkova has got to the quarters here for the first time.
She is hitting a sweet ball right now.
*S Williams 6-4 3-4 Pavlyuchenkova
The scoreboard pressure is working in Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova's favour.
She holds to put Serena Williams back one game behind in the race to six.
It is a toasty day out there on Centre Court. The ball kids are on umbrella duties at the changeover shielding the performers from the UV.
*Cibulkova 2-6 0-2 Vesnina
To cancel or not cancel the wedding which is scheduled on ladies' final day?
At the moment, Dominika Cibulkova's save the date cards are still valid.
The bride-to-be has been broken again in the opening game of the second set by a fired-up Elena Vesnina, who goes on to hold for a 2-0 lead.
The world number 18 has a lot to do now...
Cibulkova 2-6 0-1 Vesnina*
She has been dominant in that first set and anymore forehands like this one and it will also be a very quick second set.
S Williams 6-4 3-3 *Pavlyuchenkova
Serena Williams is often content to sit back on the baseline and mow down her opponents with a barrage of groundstrokes.
It is to Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova's credit that she is forcing the women's top gun to change weapons.
Twice Williams comes into the net behind attacking strokes, closes down the angles and puts away the volleys.
She holds to 30. This is bubbling up beautifully as we reach the business end of the second set.
*S Williams 6-4 2-3 Pavlyuchenkova
Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova guides away a dream of a forehand winner - the ball kissing the junction of base and sideline - to hold serve to 15.
An absolute peach of a shot.
She is swimming hard against the current. If Williams slips out of top gear, the Russian could pounce.
Cibulkova 2-6 Vesnina
Annabel Croft
Former British number one
Vesnina didn't let Cibulkova get into any rhythm. She played at an extremely high level. That was an exceptional set of tennis from the Russian.

Yes, it's a massive grassy tennis ball.
You can spot this gargantuan greenery when strolling along to the practice grounds, where they hit much smaller balls, which are yellow.
The results of our women's singles vote are in. Look away now, if you are not Serena Williams...
Question was: 'Who will win the 2016 women's singles at Wimbledon?'
(We know some players may be out now by the time you read this!)
S Williams 6-4 2-2 *Pavlyuchenkova
Anastasia Pavlychenkova wallops a forehand return down the line for a clean winner and 40-30 before a Serena Williams double fault hands her a free pass to deuce.
Advantage Miss Williams. Double fault.
Deuce. Ace
Advantage Miss Williams. Ace. Game.
The points are living and dying on the defending champion's racquet. Serena Williams, as ever, is the master of her own fate, the captain of Centre Court.
Cibulkova 2-6 Vesnina
Elena Vesnina double faults to give away one set point, but she still has one more to go.
And she does a little pirouette to her box as she watches Cibulkova return into the net.
The unseeded Russian takes the first set.

Joanne Letters: Way to go @SkupskiBros, external and @anna_smith1488, external on beating the No. 1 seeds!
This is British pair Neal Skupski and Anna Smith in the mixed doubles. They've got through the second round.
James Stevenson: Bit of a stinker so far from Cibulkova. Not started well at all. Vesnina on the other hand. She has been solid
John McEnroe
Three-time Wimbledon singles champion on BBC TV
We've often talked about Pavlyuchenkova becoming a top-10 player, but victory here would put her in that bracket. There's a lot for her to do yet though.
Simon Reed
BBC One at Wimbledon
"There was a fear that Pavlyuchenkova would be hammered into submission after the way the first set ended, but that's not materialised yet."
Cibulkova 2-5 Vesnina*
A mini resurgence from Dominika Cibulkova but it might be too late for this set.
She pushes Vesnina on the Russian's serve, but can't get the break, before holding on her own.
Vesnina's for the taking now.
*S Williams 6-4 1-2 Pavlyuchenkova
Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova holds her serve to love in a game that Serena Williams seemed to have mentally checked off long before its conclusion.
