Kyle has always preferred a slower court.
It gives him more time to get into his backhand corner and wind up on the forehand.

*Lajovic 2-3 Edmund
Lajovic gets the officials to get the rake out. He's not happy with it the clay cutting up at the back.
Edmund at 30-0 says "sorry" to himself after messing up a ball toss - so polite.
A drop-shot that kisses the cord en route at 30-0 and then a strong serve at 40-30 sees him hold.
Oh look.... there's rain.

This is very exciting. Edmund has started this match very well.
Lajovic 2-2 Edmund*
The famed Lajovic one-handed backhand fails him at 15-0.
He then feels the force of the Edmund defensive-to-attack deep forehand. The effervescent Brit then forces an error.
Break point!
Saved! Great net play by Lajovic to take the sting out of the Edmund forehand.
Lajovic, who reached the fourth round of the French Open in 2014, goes on to win the game.

Lajovic hit a good forehand there but what does Edmund do? Slap a winner cross court.
He is sending out a message that anything in his hitting area this is what he is going to do.
*Lajovic 1-2 Edmund
Another double fault from the 21-year-old Brit - but hey, he does it at 40-0 up.
A disputed line call by Lajovic means that Edmund has to deliver a second serve under a little bit more pressure.
But this GB youngster doesn't seem to know the meaning. He fires down a demon of a second serve and then sends Lajovic the wrong way with a forehand.
Lajovic 1-1 Edmund*
Lajovic does what he did in his match against James Ward - stamps on the clay near the service line. It's cutting up a little after all this rain this weekend
It doesn't appear to affect him too much as he takes the game, although Edmund did trouble him with a couple of those power-up forehands.

Those forehands will send a message to Lajovic early on.
That was a very impressive start from Kyle Edmund.
*Lajovic 0-1 Edmund
Fear the forehand.
Edmund wins the first point of the match with a slapped forehand.
One double fault follows, but he makes amends with another cracking forehand and strong serve.
Nerves? What nerves. Edmund looks strong.

Great Britain captain Leon Smith on BBC TV: "It was always good to be 2-1 up but I think it is still in the balance. We have got our up and coming player in Kyle and Lajovic doesn’t have a great amount of Davis Cup experience either.
"Kyle is really looking for things to improve game.
"It is a big moment for him to potentially seal the victory but he doesn’t get too far ahead of himself, he is pretty straight down the line that way which is brilliant."

What a great performance it was from Kyle against Tipsarevic on Friday.
He was fantastic, dealt with everything really well with massive hitting and today he has a chance to win the tie for Great Britain.
