    Watson 6-1 6-6 (6-5) Zanevska*

And again from Zanevska! Those returns need some more oomph on them as Zanevska swings, and sees it pay off.

Two good serves from Watson and she pumps her first - here's her fourth match point...

    Watson 6-1 6-6 (4-4) Zanevska*

Ace from Watson! Plenty of oomph behind that, her fifth of the match, and she bounces around on the balls of her feet.

Zanevska's response? A forehand winner, slapped cross court.

Heather Watson is paying the price for not getting tight in that last game, not thinking about her service game.

    *Watson 6-1 6-6 (3-3) Zanevska

Three forehand errors in a row from Zanevska allows Watson to get her nose in front.

Can she consolidate it with her serve? Nope - a ballooning forehand gives Zanevska too much time to fire back a winner.

  5. Tie-breakpublished at 19:12 British Summer Time 3 July 2017

    Watson 6-1 6-6 (2-2) Zanevska*

Watson gets on the board as Zanevska slaps a loose forehand into the net.

Down the line from Zanevska now and Watson, running to her left, is quick to slap a wide winner back.

  6. Stan in troublepublished at 19:11 British Summer Time 3 July 2017

    Medvedev 6-4 3-6 3-2 Wawrinka*

Huge hold for Stan Wawrinka in the fourth game of the third set.

Things are still very uncomfortable for the Swiss fifth seed out on Centre Court, though.

He spent a long time icing his knee after winning the second set and is being put under increasing pressure by Russian Daniil Medvedev, who has just pulled off a sublime lob to go 3-2 ahead in the third.

Wawrinka is having more treatment on the troublesome knee now. A shock could well be on the cards here.

  7. Bedene fights backpublished at 19:11 British Summer Time 3 July 2017

    Karlovic 7-6 (7-5) 6-7 (6-8) 7-6 (9-7) 2-2 Bedene

Aljaz Bedene looks like he's going to be on the receiving end of the first break of serve in the match on court three, but Ivo Karlovic throws away a 0-40 lead and somehow the Briton survives.

We're heading for the three-hour mark in this one. Brutal.

  8. Tie-breakpublished at 19:10 British Summer Time 3 July 2017

    *Watson 6-1 6-6 (0-2) Zanevska

The first point goes to Maryna Zanevska as Heather Watson overworks a return, her second serve sitting up nicely.

The nerves are on show though as Watson double faults!

  9. Tie-break ahoypublished at 19:09 British Summer Time 3 July 2017

    Watson 6-1 6-6 Zanevska

That's better from Watson, forcing Zanevska to come up the net and feather a backhand into it.

Long on the forehand from Zanevska - and we're headed to a tie-break...

    Watson 6-1 5-5 Zanevska*

That's long from Watson, and there's a fist pump from Maryna Zanevska - she's taken full advantage of Watson's struggles to close out a game.

  13. Konta 'feeling good'published at 19:01 British Summer Time 3 July 2017

    Konta 6-2 6-2 Hsieh

British number one Johanna Konta speaking on BBC Two: I'm very happy to come through that match. She's a tricky player on any surface and I lost to her in the French Open so I was looking forward to trying o beat her again. I was happy with how it went.

"I'm feeling well [after a back injury]. After I hit yesterday, that was my first test. I feel really good."

On being a home favourite: "It's a massive compliment. I'm working hard and training hard and hopefully I'm going to be involved for the fortnight, but I'm going to take it day by day."

    Watson 6-1 5-4 Zanevska*

First set point, Heather Watson tries that little drop shot - and Maryna Zanevska responds with a fine slashed winner.

An ace brings up second set point but a forehand goes skew-whiff again from Watson. This has been a common theme in Watson's matches over the past few months.

Now it's Zanevska who has her third break point, but a strike down the line doesn't go as intended. We go back to deuce.

    Andrew Cotter
    BBC Sport commentator

It's a very tidy, very impressive performance. On what we thought might be a potential banana skin for Konta, but it didn't prove to be that in any way. She makes it through to the second round with little fuss.

    Watson 6-1 5-4 Zanevska*

As she did in the first set, Heather Watson struggles to serve out the match.

Her serves lack that extra bit of fizz at first, handing Maryna Zanevska three break points, but the Briton claws it back to deuce with some deep forehands.

Can she take it this time?

    Konta 6-2 6-2 Hsieh

After only 65 minutes on the court, Johanna Konta breezes into the second round of Wimbledon.

An assured performance from the British number one, who sees out the match with an ace and a hold to love.

    *Konta 6-2 5-2 Hsieh

Jo Konta has two match points and it looks like she's going to sew this up on the hour mark.

But Su-Wei Hseih has other ideas. The world number 113 recovers to take the game to deuce and holds with a forehand winner.

It's up to Konta to serve for a place in the second round.

    *Karlovic 7-6 (7-5) 6-7 (6-8) 7-6 (9-7) Bedene

There's a chat between player and umpire, someone runs onto court three with a massive green back, and Ivo Karlovic gets to his feet and darts back out on court.

    Let's play.

    *Watson 6-1 5-4 Zanevska

Proof, if ever it were needed, that I don't know what I'm talking about.

Maryna Zanevska hammers through her service game, an ace followed up by a furious forehand, to force Watson to serve for the match.
