  1. Game and first set - Kontapublished at 18:25 British Summer Time 3 July 2017

    Konta 6-2 Hsieh*

An ace into the corner brings up set point for Johanna Konta.

And she takes the opener in style, by sliding to the right and tipping just over the net at full stretch. A great get.

    *Karlovic 7-6 (7-5) 6-7 (6-8) 4-5 Bedene

How's he missed that?! Ivo Karlovic volleys, Aljaz Bedene speeds in - and slices his shot into the net! That was a gimme.

He responds with a magnificent ace, Karlovic turning his head away as the ball sails past him, and that has the Briton well on his way to a hold.

  3. Konta with the double breakpublished at 18:21 British Summer Time 3 July 2017

    *Konta 5-2 Hsieh

Johanna Konta's gameplan appears to be all about trying to overpower her waif-like opponent.

The Briton is really getting her whole body behind every shot and her strength has earned her two break points.

Although the first is saved by a brilliant backhand cross-court from Hsieh, Konta earns the break on her second attempt. She's going to serve for the set.

    Karlovic 7-6 (7-5) 6-7 (6-8) 4-4 Bedene*

Back on court three and we're stubbornly staying on serve.

Ivo Karlovic lobs Aljaz Bedene beautifully, the Briton watching the ball sail over his head.

Ace number 28 comes down not long after to take the 6ft 11inch fella to 40-15, and he holds with another big strike.

  8. Game and first set - Watsonpublished at 18:16 British Summer Time 3 July 2017

    Watson 6-1 Zanevska*

There's a blip as Heather Watson serves for the first set, fizzing down her first double fault of the match, before a forehand sails long.

Advantage comes up for Watson as a Maryna Zanevska backhand bounces out and a review goes her opponent's way, before Watson takes us to the third deuce.

An ace brings up Watson's third set point - and she secures it with another big serve! Not easy, but she's on her way.

  9. Konta breaks againpublished at 18:13 British Summer Time 3 July 2017

    *Konta 3-2 Hsieh

Konta's double-handed forehand lands beautifully in the corner and she earns two break points.

The British number one gives herself a little fist pump as she watches Hseih's shot sail past the baseline.

Immediate break back for Konta. Does anyone want to hold here?

  10. Nadal through in straight setspublished at 18:11 British Summer Time 3 July 2017

French Open champion Rafael Nadal is off to a flying start at this year's tournament, here he is sealing a first round win over John Millman.

  11. Hsieh breaks backpublished at 18:10 British Summer Time 3 July 2017

    Konta 2-2 Hsieh*

Johanna Konta drops her first point on serve as she slams a forehand into the net to make it 40-15.

And then, all of a sudden, Su-Wei Hsieh has clawed her way back to earn a break point.

The world number 113 takes it! Konta hit some wayward shots in that game. She looks a bit rattled.

  13. Konta breakspublished at 18:04 British Summer Time 3 July 2017

    *Konta 2-1 Hsieh

Another double fault from Hsieh hands another break point to Konta.

Can she make it count this time? Nope, she hits long.

The British number one has another chance...she hits long again. Second deuce.

A third break point now. What's she going to do here? She's going to watch Hsieh overcook a forehand which sails past the white lines. The break is Konta's. She's made a great start on Court One.

    *Karlovic 7-6 (7-5) 6-7 (6-8) 1-2 Bedene

No-one is giving anything away over on court three, where Aljaz Bedene and Ivo Karlovic are facing off.

We're still on serve, and Bedene hammers through his latest game, not a hint of width on offer.

  15. Watson breaks againpublished at 18:01 British Summer Time 3 July 2017

    *Watson 4-0 Zanevska

    Chris Bevan
    BBC Sport at Wimbledon

Heather Watson is already getting the crowd going on court two with some crisp winners, and is already a break up against Maryna Zanevska.

Watson has had a difficult year since winning the mixed doubles title here last year and has slipped out of the top 100, but her run to the semi-finals at Eastbourne last month showed what she is capable of and she has pedigree in the singles here too - she reached the third round in 2012 and 2015.

Hope the Court One ticket holders have brought sun cream and a hat. And a brolly.

Because whatever the weather throws at south-west London then those on Wimbledon's second show court are going to feel it.

Court One is midway through an extensive £70m facelift, which includes the addition of a new retractable roof almost a 1,000 more seats.

That means it is a bowl-like arena this year, leaving the fans open to all of the variable elements.

    *Zanevska 0-3 Watson

Heather Watson is backing up her form from Eastbourne in the early rounds on court two.

She's got the early break against Maryna Zanevska and she consolidates it with a nice mix of shots, following up a two-handed backhand with a delicate slap over the net.

Two double faults hand two break points to Jo Konta in the opening game.

Su-Wei Hsieh takes the advantage after deuce, and then overpowers Konta with a forehand to hold.

  20. Game and second set - Bedenepublished at 17:54 British Summer Time 3 July 2017

    Karlovic 7-6 (7-5) 6-7 (6-8) Bedene

Well played, Aljaz Bedene. He's come through another tie-break to claim the second set over on court three.

That match has been going for just over an hour and a half, and I suspect we'll be here for a while yet.
