Game, set and match - Mullerpublished at 15:26 British Summer Time 5 July 2017

    Rosol 5-7 7-6 (9-7) 6-4 3-6 9-7 Muller

Whew. The 16th seed Gilles Muller finally sees off Lukas Rosol in a mammoth five-set encounter on court 12 that lasted three hours 37 minutes.

There was little to choose between them throughout but the Luxembourg player's impressive serving - he hit 45 aces in total - finally told.

A couple of aces in the 16th game of the fifth set followed by two forehand winners and Muller avoids a scare.

He'll be knackered. Potentially good news for Aljaz Bedene, who will take on Muller in round three, should he beat Damir Dzumhur today.

    Konta 7-6 (7-4) 4-6 3-2 Vekic*

Konta hits her 40th winner of the match to move 30-0 to the good.

She hands her opponent a point after coming to the net and slicing too hard over the baseline.

But a ninth ace brings Konta to game point and she holds again after Vekic nets.

    Tense, this.

  4. Bedene breakspublished at 15:21 British Summer Time 5 July 2017

    *Bedene 6-3 3-6 6-3 1-0 Dzumhur

Dzumhur makes four straight errors to gift Bedene a break of serve.

He did the same in the second set but Bedene couldn't consolidate and got stung.

Consolidate this one, though, and you feel the Briton will surge to victory.

When it is this tight, when I was playing, what was very important to me was doing enough work in the off season leading up to a tournament like this, so you don't have to worry about being fit enough, the heat or playing a long match.

What I have admired most about Jo today is her body language, you can't tell if she is up or down. Her reaction to losing the second set was the same as when she won the first set.

    Konta 7-6 (7-4) 4-6 2-1 Vekic*

    FORE!

Vekic smacks a shot into space and as it returns from orbit on her own side of the net, she knocks it over for Konta to take back. However, Konta's turned the other way, heading back to the baseline, and it almost hits her on the head.

Konta remains unnerved by the giggles around Centre Court and holds to love.

    Bedene 6-3 3-6 6-3 Dzumhur

Ace number nine from Bedene brings up three set points.

Oh. A very bad double fault follows.

That's better - an unreturned serve down the middle gives the Briton the third set.

He had to battle a fair few wobbles to get through that but Bedene has a great chance now of getting through to the third round of Wimbledon for the first time in his career.

    *Konta 7-6 (7-4) 4-6 1-1 Vekic

Vekic loses her cool for a minute after netting a forehand. She throws her arms up in disgust and shouts at her coaches in the players' box. Ohh err.

The 21-year-old gets her head back in the game to hold, though.

  10. Bedene breakspublished at 15:12 British Summer Time 5 July 2017

    *Bedene 6-3 3-6 5-3 Dzumhur

Chance for Bedene at 15-30 on the Dzumhur serve - some nice slice backhands eventually forcing the error as the Bosnian nets.

Two break points for the Briton, who belts the first one long.

But he gets the second as Dzumhur skews an awkward backhand wide. Bedene to serve for the third set.

The British number one races into a 40-0 lead and a strong serve sees her hold to love.

Aljaz Bedene definitely likes it here on the sun trap otherwise known as court three - he beat giant Croat Ivo Karlovic here on Monday evening and he's level in this match too.

The atmosphere is not exactly hotting up as quickly as the temperatures in SW19, though. There are plenty of British fans here but they are the kind you flutter to try to keep cool.

Jo Konta's return errors stack up to 25 as the game levels on 30-30.

Vekic earns set point with a brilliant forehand winner and she celebrates as Konta fires into the net.

We are level on Centre Court.

    Nishikori 6-4 6-7 (7-9) Stakhovsky

Stakhovsky blew a 5-2 lead in the second set and then blew a 5-2 lead in the tie-break.

But the Ukrainian saves set points, levels and then ekes ahead.

Here's a set point of his own - it's an ace! He went the long way round but he's claimed the second set.

    Tsonga 6-1 7-5 6-2 Bolelli

Jo-Wilfried Tsonga broke a racquet, had to swish away those flying ants, but he's got a big grin on his face after securing a place in the third round at SW19.

He's beaten Italian quaifier Simone Bolelli in straight sets over on court two.

  18. Bedene breaks backpublished at 14:58 British Summer Time 5 July 2017

    *Bedene 6-3 3-6 2-2 Dzumhur

Ugh, utterly horrid game from Dzumhur, making errors all over the place and sending down slow, loopy serves.

Bedene barely had to lift a finger and he's got that break right back.

  19. Postpublished at 14:56 British Summer Time 5 July 2017

    Konta 7-6 (7-4) 4-5 Vekic*

Jo Konta looks to be on her way to a love hold, but Vekic interrupts the flow by dinking a winner just over the net.

And all of sudden we are at deuce.

Konta takes the advantage, and then throws down an ace to hold.

Vekic will now serve for the second set.
