  1. Struggling in the Wimbledon sunpublished at 14:37 British Summer Time 6 July 2017

There has been a break of over 15 minutes on court three as someone has been taken ill in the stands.

Hopefully everyone is OK. It is VERY hot out there.

The incident has reaffirmed Juan Martin del Potro's place as one of the nicest men in tennis by handing his water bottle over to the spectator.

Monfils has suffered a body blow. He lost his serve, momentum is shifting. He's an experienced player, he know what this means.

Yes, Kyle, you can fist pump. You've just held to love. Bravo.

  4. Edmund breaks backpublished at 14:31 British Summer Time 6 July 2017

    Monfils 7-6 (7-1) 3-3 Edmund*

Kyle's back with a bang! He moves to 0-30 and wrong-foots his opponent to earn three break points.

It's left Monfils on the grass, legs splayed like Bambi. Is he ok? He looks ok. We get a thumbs up.

One break point goes amiss but Edmund snatches the game with a brilliant backhand winner.

A definite talking point this week...

8 injuries in Wimbledon men's singles after two rounds and a £35,000 payout just for competing... Surely players should be assessed and determined 100% fit before they can enter the tournament? #keepitcompetitive #initforthemoney

    *Monfils 7-6 (7-1) 3-2 Edmund

Kyle Edmund needs a hold here, and he gets it, but he's still being pushed around by the more experienced Monfils.

That's not ideal in the heat on Centre Court.

A lackadaisical Gael Monfils has Kyle Edmund running all over the place.

In the end, the Frenchman scoops up over the net to hold to love. Simples.

We have seen a dip in Kyle Edmund's performance in the last service game. We talk about different game styles and plans, you wonder what his plan B will be? It's not like he will serve and volley but can he change the pace and bring his opponent in?

Worrying times for DelPo's many fans.

The 29th seed, having already been treated by the doctor, has lost the opening set against Ernests Gulbis.

The Latvian is playing really well. He's hit 11 aces and 32 winners already. That's 14 games played. 32 winners! Impressive.

On court 12, John Isner has broken serve for the first time against Dudi Sela to take the third set and lead 2-1.

Women's ninth seed Agnieszka Radwańska is also in action, currently on serve in the first set against American Christina McHale.

  12. 'Novak can dominate again'published at 14:22 British Summer Time 6 July 2017

    Pavlasek 2-6 2-6 Djokovic

    Peter Fleming
    Seven-time Grand Slam doubles champion

I am pretty certain that Novak is not going to stop until he gets back to that level of 2011, 2014 again. There is no reason why not. He is one of the most agile guys to ever play the game, he is physically fit.

The thing that is missing is the mental determination to get there again and eliminate any moments of distraction, of hesitation.

I would not bet against him achieving that again.

Even with Rafa and Roger getting back to their levels he can dominate again. If anything it will motivate him to prove that he is better than they are at their best.

    *Monfils 7-6 (7-1) 2-1 Edmund

A tiny little touch for Monfils clears the net and he brings up a third chance to break.

He nets again. Back to deuce we go.

Let's try a fourth break point for Monfils, shall we?

    Result!

The Frenchman moves a set and a break up as Edmund nets after an energetic rally.

    *Monfils 7-6 (7-1) 1-1 Edmund

Kyle Edmund double faults to hand Monfils break point. This could be a turning point.

    Or not.

Edmund sees it off with the help of his massive forehand.

But there's another mistake from the world number 50 as he comes into the net and hands the Frenchman another break point.

Monfils nets this time and we go back to deuce. Oooh it's tense.

  16. 'Is Djokovic back to his best?'published at 14:17 British Summer Time 6 July 2017

    Peter Fleming
    Seven-time Grand Slam doubles champion

When Djokovic plays like he did in that last game, he hits relentlessly probing strokes that you feel he is never going to miss. He always keeps you off balance, on the back foot.

In the last year he hasn't been able to maintain that level over an entire match.

Perhaps he is starting to get there again...

  17. Ivan the jokerpublished at 14:15 British Summer Time 6 July 2017

    Jonathan Jurejko
    BBC Sport at Wimbledon

Ivan Lendl comes across on the telly like tennis' Ivan Drago (a Rocky IV reference for you non-film fans).

But, as Andy Murray has been telling us all along, he's not as scary as we all think. In fact he's actually a bit of a joker.

"Have you got insurance playing with him?!" quips the former Grand Slam winner when he spots some familiar faces on the next practice court.

Then it's back to the serious chat as Team Murray debrief at the end of a sweaty, 90-minute session.

Andy's all smiles as he saunters back to the changing rooms, chatting to a young Scottish lad who is presumably hoping to follow in his footsteps.

  18. Another break for Novakpublished at 14:15 British Summer Time 6 July 2017

    Pavlasek 2-6 2-5 Djokovic

Novak Djokovic is moving into championship gear now, he's really upped his game in the second set and is making hay while the sun shines.

Pavlasek dumps a shot into the net, it's another break for the number two seed, and a step closer to a two-set lead.

  19. Postpublished at 14:13 British Summer Time 6 July 2017

    Monfils 7-6 (7-1) 1-1 Edmund*

Gael Monfils makes a rare trip to the net early doors and it leaves him exposed. Edmund shoots across him for 0-15.

The Frenchman recovers and holds but it still looks like he's struggling with an ankle niggle.

  20. Postpublished at 14:11 British Summer Time 6 July 2017

    Monfils 7-6 (7-1) 0-1 Edmund

Britain's number two Edmund has the advantage of serving first in this set and comfortably gets ahead.

As Tim and Annabel said the Yorkshireman needs to regroup after the blow of losing that first set and that easy game will certainly help.
