    Lajovic 6-7 (0-7) 1-2 Federer*

Federer uncovers a new racquet with the 'RF' motif emblazoned on it. Do you think *everything* he owns is branded? His coffee mug, his pillows, his kids?

The seven-time champion eats into his opponents serve but Dusan Lajovic recovers with a trademark backhand for 30-30.

Unfortunately for the Serb, a double fault follows and Federer has break point.

RF wastes it though by pinging a backhand wide. To deuce we go...

Finally we have a hold of serve on Court One as world number one Angelique Kerber wins her service game to level at 5-5.

Now she's on the hunt for another break as she moves to 15-40 on the Flipkens serve.

The German gives her thigh a good whack as she nets on the first break point but does the job on the second.

Kerber will now serve for this first set.

A drop-shot masterclass over on Court One from Kirsten Flipkens, who first finds a winner while straddling the baseline, and then picks one out even more improbably from a few feet away from the net. Wonderful touch, it breaks the serve of Angelique Kerber, who nearly smashes her racket into the turf but thinks better of it.

Flipkens serves for the first set and...is broken back!
