Women's number one seed Angelique Kerber is under way in her second round match against Belgian Kirsten Flipkens. Despite being world number one she is isn't being talked about as favourite by many, she's not in the best of form and isn't reckoned by many to have the grass court game.

Mind you she got to last year's final. She's not too shabby.

  2. Lajovic breakspublished at 18:25 British Summer Time 6 July 2017

A fourth break point comes Lajovic's way when Federer goes long and the game goes to the Serb when Roger nets.

The guys other than Federer, Nadal, Djokovic and Murray, you have to ask them are you trying as hard as these guys? Do you want it as much as these guys? Watch Nadal at the French or Roger at Australia. You need to go there and want it and match their intensity.

Dusan Lajovic, he's got one of the most beautiful one handed backhands you'll see, but he needs a bit of time to execute it and he's not going to get that time against Roger Federer.

No doubt as Federer has got older he is not as fast as he once was.

When your defensive skills aren’t as good you don’t want to be chasing and the best way to avoid that is to be aggressive.

He really seems to take the ball earlier, flatter and more aggressively on the backhand.

  9. Who is Dusan Lojovic?published at 18:13 British Summer Time 6 July 2017

    Lajovic v Federer

At risk of sounding like a dating profile, Dusan Lojovic is 27, from Serbia and is ranked 79th in the world.

He's never got past the second round at Wimbledon before but he has previously made the last 16 at Roland Garros.

Lojovic has never won back-to-back grass matches before and is looking to defeat a top 10 opponent for the first time on his eighth attempt.

We can't just assume Roger is going to win! Shocks like that make the top men and women take a step back.

It seems with the women that whoever is about to become number one gets petrified and can't take the pressure. Athleticism is rewarded on grass courts.

Pliskova's movement late in the match became an issue.

  12. Federer's quest continuespublished at 18:10 British Summer Time 6 July 2017

    Lajovic v Federer

Roger Federer's Wimbledon campaign hasn't really got going yet.

The Centre Court crowd were expecting great things from his first-round match with Alexandr Dolgopolov on Tuesday, but it was over after one set when the Ukranian pulled up injured.

However, the result earned R-Fed a new record for the most match-wins at Wimbledon in the Open Era - a whopping 85.

He continues the trek for his eighth SW19 title in his 70th Grand Slam against Dusan Lajovic. It's the first meeting between the pair.

The biggest shock in the women's draw, the number three seed and the number one form player this year is out. Rybarikova's control of the ball under the greatest of duress was unbelievable. She kept on playing her game and kept her belief.

Remember the name - Magdalena Rybarikova could be a force to reckon with in the women's draw. Mind you, pick a favourite out of that lot and you're doing well. An open field.

She doesn't actually know where to go once she steps off Centre Court. Not a routine win for the Slovakian...
