*Konta 7-6 (7-3) Garcia
Konta will get this second set under way shortly but first, a quick look at the stats - look at that first serve point percentage from the Brit.
Kerber 6-4 4-6 4-6 Muguruza
What a match that was! A standing ovation on Court Two as Muguruza wins in two hours and 20 minutes. Both players provided some great stuff, Kerber didn't do much wrong but the Hollywood ability of Muguruza to plunder winners from all over the court proved decisive.
Kerber 6-4 4-6 4-6 Muguruza
Kerber serving for her Wimbledon future, big serve to save one and then wrong foots the Spaniard to save another! Gutsy, gutsy stuff.
A third match point after Kerber is overpowered by Muguruza - into the net!
Konta 7-6 (7-3) Garcia
Second set point, Konta darts up and down on the balls of her feet - and takes it with an ace!
There's a big yell of "come on" from the Brit, raising her fist towards her box before wandering off for a drink.
Nerves of steel.
*Konta 6-6 (6-3) Garcia
Konta will be serving for the set. Garcia, 5-2 behind, produces a good first serve, which Konta can only balloon into the stands.
Garcia's first serve then goes into the net, before netting a return, while crouching down almost on to her knees. Konta one point from a one-set lead.
Kerber 6-4 4-6 4-5 Muguruza
Kerber serving to stay in the match then. Muguruza has hit 54 winners out there, levelled out with 50 unforced errors. Box office tennis. Yin and Yang.
Kerber has been no slouch though, flopping another peach of a lob over her opponent to go 15-15. Every point counts here, the business end. Cracker of an overhead from Muguruza, two points away from the last eight potentially at 15-30...
Kerber is wide, two match points...
Konta 6-6 (5-2) Garcia*
Konta challenges as a forehand return is called wide, but there's no dice from Hawk-Eye.
Shouts of "come on Jo!" ring around the court at the change of ends, and Konta heeds them with a dart to the net and a backhand that Garcia spears long.
*Konta 6-6 (4-1) Garcia
Garcia, 3-0 down in the tie-break, gets her first point as Konta sends a forehand into the net. But Konta moves 4-1 ahead with a fine passing forehand with Garcia at the net.
Kerber 6-4 4-6 4-5 Muguruza
Muguruza keeps coming forwards to the net, pinging her 16th volleyed winner home. Kerber has one, for reference.
A clash of styles, and it's making for a cracker. I wouldn't want to bet on the outcome of this even with your money. Muguruza holds to 15...
Konta 6-6 (3-0) Garcia*
Down comes Konta's serve, and Garcia responds with a wonky forehand to spear the ball wide.
That's a glorious serve from Konta though, wide, plenty of pace, and Garcia fires a return way long.
*Konta 6-6 (1-0) Garcia
Caroline Garcia to serve first in the tie-break, the first serve is into the net and the second is too long. Great start for Konta.
Konta 6-6 Garcia*
During the change of ends, Konta gave herself a few words of advice, fixing that steely glare on her shoes as she got her head back in the game.
She races to 0-40, the serve coming down nicely, but Garcia gets a slam back over the net all wrong. Into a tie-break we go!
Konta 5-6 Garcia
Jonathan Jurejko
BBC Sport at Wimbledon
Murmurings of discontent (and disbelief) after Garcia nabs the break back from Konta.
The British number one has a moan at the umpire because she thinks the point should have been replayed.
Caroline Garcia slopes back behind the baseline, just hoping she can get away with it. She does.
Then after the French player backs it up with that easy-peasy hold, the home crowd raises the volume. They sense Konta needs their help.
Kerber 6-4 4-6 4-4 Muguruza
That last game was a near 12-minute affair. Kerber couldn't take her chances and Muguruza held on in fine style. Who is favourite from here down the stretch? Kerber holds comfortably.
*Konta 5-6 Garcia
Konta needs to get that game face back on. She's serving to stay in the set.
*Konta 5-6 Garcia
Hmm. That last game has thrown Konta off. The errors come mostly off the Konta backhand and Garcia doesn't miss a beat.
She holds to love. Konta needs to regroup.
Tracy Austin
Former Wimbledon mixed doubles champion
That was a crucial part of the match, a key decision. It showed the subjective part of Hawk-Eye. Let's see if Konta can dismiss that game, move forward and regroup.
Marach/Pavic 6-3 6-4 7-6 (7-3) Willis/Clarke
The dream is over.
After their epic victory over the defending champions and second seeds in their previous outing, our intrepid British heroes Marcus Willis and Jay Clarke have bowed out of the doubles competition at the last-16 stage with a 6-3 6-4 7-6 (7-3) defeat by 16th seeds Oliver Marach and Mate Pavic.
Marcus "Willbomb" Willis was still smiling and posing for selfies with the crowd on Court 14.
Kerber 6-4 4-6 3-4 Muguruza
A fourth break point. They should have saved this match for Saturday's final. Brilliant stuff now, every point a huge rally. Muguruza saves it again as we go to deuce for a fifth time. This game is massive and we all know it.
And Muguruza holds it! She leads for the first time all set...
Konta 5-5 Garcia*
Set point Konta as Garcia's return of serve nestles in the foot of the net, but the French player forces Konta to return deeply, and she saves the point.
And now Garcia has her third break point, really going after Konta's second serve, but a late call of 'out!' looks to have ended Garcia's challenge.
No, wait, the ball is in! It is in by a whisker - and Konta is not happy. The ball was called out and Konta is saying she had stopped playing. She registers her disapproval with the umpire. All square.
