The British fans are shouting themselves hoarse out there but it’s working because their boy Norrie has turned this second singles rubber into a real battle. Remarkable really considering this is his first professional match on the red clay.

Norrie made the point yesterday that the pressure would all be on Bautista Agut because he was such a big favourite so it’s going to be interesting to see how the Spaniard now copes with it all as the match gets tight.

Great Britain’s captain Leon Smith must be absolutely delighted the way his two debutants have risen to the occasion today in terms of their performance.

    *Bautista Agut 6-4 6-3 3-6 2-4 Norrie

It's Cameron Norrie who's dictating play - the match feels like it's on his racquet at the moment. A forehand leaks wide from RBA and Norrie moves 4-2 ahead in the fourth. Can he force a fifth? Whatever happens from here, what an effort.

A medical timeout for Bautista Agut between games as the Spanish team really work his thighs. The world number 23 seems to be struggling physically and mentally. Can Norrie back up the break and increase the pressure further?

Incredible turnaround form the first couple of first sets. The word I can't get out of my head at the moment is belief. The turning point was that 1-0 game in the third set where Bautista Agut threw in a loose one. I don't want to talk about winning the match but Norrie certainly believes he can take this to a fifth set.

Cagey from both players, but it's Norrie who gets his nose in front first at 15-30.

Norrie does well to unfurl a smash but Bautista Agut is waiting with the volley. Then Norrie dances forward and just cracks a lovely forehand down the line for break point...

He's clearly not played much five-set tennis, he's not played much clay-court but, physically, deep into the fourth set it looks like he's coping with the intensity pretty well.
