Hmmm. Double fault Bautista Agut and it's 0-30. Another break in the offing?

The Great Britain team have done their homework. They've decided if they stay at the back and play these guys at their own game, they don't have a chance, so let's do something different.

    *Bautista Agut 1-3 Norrie

An ace and three volleys in a row back up the break. Norrie's settled really well here.

That was the perfect drop shot. I can't talk you through it because I can't play it!

    Bautista Agut 1-2 Norrie*

He doesn't appear to be lacking in any confidence, a ridiculously good drop shot off Bautista Agut's return takes Norrie to 30-0. But that's a double fault and we're at 30-30.

I've noticed at the start of both of these matches today, the Great Britain team have made a point of doing this with a smile on their face. When we start playing tennis it's about fun and enjoying it, and it's not a coincidence that Norrie has embraced that and started the match really well.

    Bautista Agut 1-2 Norrie*

Got it! Mid-court from Bautista Agut, sits up and begs to be put away. Norrie obliges and Britain are up an early break.

  8. Three break points for GBpublished at 13:31 Greenwich Mean Time 2 February 2018

    *Bautista Agut 1-1 Norrie

Superb cross-court backhand winner from Norrie and he has three break points!

Bautista Agut is such a studious player. He makes so few errors.

    *Bautista Agut 1-1 Norrie

Outswinging serve, down the line with the second shot and rush to the net to put away the volley. Nicely done from Norrie and that's a settling hold.

    Bautista Agut 1-0 Norrie*

Plenty of long rallies in the early stages of the second rubber. Very much a case of who blinks first. It's Bautista Agut who does so here twice in a row as Norrie moves to 40-15. But the Brit then coughs up two errors. Deuce.

    Bautista Agut 1-0 Norrie*

Bautista Agut serving first and that's a wild, wild forehand from Norrie - it barely stayed in the court - but he steps in and slams away a forehand to get to deuce. A long baseline exchange ensues but Norrie eventually errs and a forehand volley seals the hold for the Spaniard.

Right, hope you enjoyed your lunch - we did - and it's time to get going again.

Cameron Norrie is next up for Britain and he's about to take on world number 23 Roberto Bautista Agut.

Another tall order for the Brits - how they could do with a point on the board after Liam Broady's brave defeat.

Liam Broady embraced the situation today, there was no freezing and I think he played above his level. Even though the score looks reasonably comfortable, it certainly wasn't.

    Ramos-Vinolas 6-3 6-4 7-6 (8-6) Broady

That was excellent from Liam Broady, who put his all into that and matched Ramos-Vinolas in so many ways.

He had the Spaniard looking very nervy in that final set.

Spain take the first rubber in the Davis Cup. There's a relieved long on Ramos-Vinolas' face.
