    Kyle Edmund ensures his mood won't improve too quickly with a lovely backhand drive down the line, but a few easy returns sit up for Djokovic and we're at deuce.

    It's only his third double fault of the tournament. A leap and a swipe with the forehand ensures the Serb holds first up.

    There was a lot of great tennis from Edmund, but fragility mentally from Djokovic, he looks frustrated.

    He needs to be more proactive because Kyle is looking to be more aggressive earlier in the points.

    Kyle Edmund coughs up a big double fault first up, before a missed forehand puts Djokovic 0-30 up.

    The Serb blazes a forehand into the net and then cracks another return long. Djokovic isn't happy, and he's even less impressed by the jeers from the crowd.

    Terrific serve out wide from Edmund. Djokovic nets, and Edmund has set point.

    Walking out Djokovic would expect the crowd to not be on his side, understood that and used it as motivation.

    When he expressed frustration and at not getting the respect Nadal and Federer got it motivated him and made him a better player. Over the last few years it seems like it gets in his head and bums him out.

    Alexander Zverev wins a 22-shot rally, the longest of the match so far, he's going to challenge a wide call... but that was all gutter. Ernests Gulbis fluffs the next and it's two break-back points for the fourth seed.

    Zverev cannot convert either, he's handed another break point... but now a line judge says Zverev has sworn? He breaks into an argument with the umpire, arms wide like a teenager protesting his innocence before slapping the net with his racquet in frustration.

    Gulbis saves, but it's quickly a FOURTH break point chance for Zverev.

    He takes it!
