  1. Gulbis takes double breakpublished at 18:59 British Summer Time 7 July 2018

    Zverev 6-7 (2-7) 6-4 7-5 3-6 0-3 Gulbis*

Ernests Gulbis is playing some wonderful stuff now, guiding the ball around court and giving Alexander Zverev the runaround.

Magic from the 29-year-old, an unconventional but brilliant drop shot to make a dent in the German's service game and then a backhand winner on the run to earn two break points.

He takes the first with a dart to the net and a smashed volley winner!

This could be a massive upset in the making.

  2. Edmund holdspublished at 18:57 British Summer Time 7 July 2018

    Edmund 6-4 3-6 1-2 Djokovic*

It's 30-0 to Kyle Edmund and the Brit picks an excellent time to find a 124mph ace.

His backhand's not working though, successive balls swirled into the foot of the net, and it takes a furious serve into the corner of the court to get Edmund on the board.

  3. What to do with Kyrgios-Nishikori?published at 18:54 British Summer Time 7 July 2018

With Alexander Zverev taken to a fifth set by Ernests Gulbis on Court One, and Nick Kyrgios-Kei Nishikori still to come, Wimbledon have a potential problem. With tomorrow a rest day and all fourth-round matches scheduled for Monday, they will desperately want to complete the third round tonight.

    *Zverev 6-7 (2-7) 6-4 7-5 3-6 0-0 Gulbis

Ernests Gulbis finds himself serving for the fourth set, he'll be desperate to avoid a repeat of what happened when he was in this exact position in the third.

The Latvian gets it right this time. A quick hold to love to level it up at two sets apiece.

It's been a battle of endurance, but a compelling one...

A bit scrappy from Kyle Edmund on the opening two points, before the Brit follows up a good first serve with a forehand winner.

Lovely. Edmund backhand volleys his way to 30-30 before swinging a serve through Djokovic.

Another missed forehand from Edmund, though, and we're at deuce.

    Zverev 6-7 (2-7) 6-4 7-5 3-5 Gulbis*

Former world number 10 Ernests Gulbis, now down at 138 in the rankings, has turned this one around. He forces world number three Alexander Zverev to serve to stay in the fourth set.

Are we going to see another seed tumbling out of Wimbledon before the second week?

Zverev batters his way to a speedy hold - he was 3-5 down in the third set and turned it around...

Lee: Edmund had been giving too many chances to Djokovic to break, eventually he was going to take one.

Andras: Edmund looking pretty tasty in this match either way. Definitely has the game to be top five.

    Edmund 6-4 3-5 Djokovic*

A horrible point from everyone involved as Kyle Edmund shanks a return of serve up into the air, and Novak Djokovic slams it into the net.

A serve and volley from the Serb puts him 30-15 up but then a net cord falls kindly for Djokovic.

    He's got two set points.

  17. Gulbis breakspublished at 18:37 British Summer Time 7 July 2018

    Zverev 6-7 (2-7) 6-4 7-5 2-4 Gulbis*

Ernests Gulbis, from looking like a broken man, wins a 24-shot rally in emphatic style with a deft volley as Alexander Zverev goes skidding across the Court One baseline and ends up with his long limbs almost wrapped around him in a heap on the floor.

Break point for the Latvian. Another mammoth rally, 27 stokes this time, before Gulbis drags wide.

Hang on... a heated exchange between the pair that the chair umpire steps in to quell. It ends with another chance for Gulbis to break.
