This was the Federer lob that had me drooling earlier, brilliant...

Nishikori is going to see if Djokovic beats himself, as his focus is not as laser-like as it was in the first set.

Novak Djokovic seems to be back in the zone. A hold in a matter of minutes with no chance for his opponent Kei Nishikori. He's been subdued since that outburst.

It is still pretty even stevens in the second set. It is good for Anderson to stay into the match after that bad start. He will want to get into the tie-break now.

There's definite tension there. Like a couple you have to go out for tea with their friends after a heated argument. Djokovic takes his seat, picks up a drink and stares straight in front. Ramos looks away to his left, trying to not make eye contact.

    Novak has work to do.

Roger Federer serving to stay in the second set, but he lashes into the tramlines in the opening point. Been a bit off by his standards in this set, the top seed...

He just cranks it up a gear and sizzles down successive aces, before a third of the game follows for a hold.

A love hold from Kei Nishikori. I think umpire Carlos Ramos might get a word or two from Djokovic here.

Well, well. Whether that intervention from the umpire affected Novak Djokovic or not, he's now a break down in the second set. Nishikori now looks like he's a had a bolt of electricity through him after looking weary earlier.

There's no outburst from Novak. Yet...

Seamless from the eight-time champion - wide serves followed by winding winners.

He leaves one though, and a Kevin Anderson return that looked to be dropping long just kisses the chalk.

    No bother, Federer holds.

Not often these days we hear Roger Federer getting vocal, not like we did in his tempestuous younger days.

A yelp of something not quite decipherable greeted the saving of that break point in the last game.

That’s when you know it is a big save...
