It was a sloppy game from Fognini - a good time for Edmund to take a medical time out.

The Briton broke his concentration a little bit. If you can get into the Italian's head a little bit you might get some joy.

Here we go... a racquet is flung west by Fognini, followed by something else south into the advertising boards behind his chair. Clunk.

Exactly what Edmund wants to see.

Talk about clutch serving. Kyle Edmund comes up with the goods to save those two break points with a change of pace down the middle and then a thumper out wide.

Ah... and then he loses his focus to double fault under pressure and coughs up the break.

Edmund calls on the trainer, indicating something isn't right when he is twisting right into his favoured forehand. He has his left hip and ankle tended to before lying out on a white physio mat next to the chair.

A little bit of courtside treatment for Kyle Edmund.

Bit of a concern for the British number one.

The double fault hurt the Briton more than anything. Edmund has the trainer out - looks like they're testing the hip.

The Italian wasn't doing much with the returns in that game - Edmund was sucked into making the big shot.
